Girls!! Found a new favourite hiking spot in Franschhoek for us!📍😍⛰️🌞🥾

is located at the Berg River Dam in gorgeous Franschhoek. With heaps of trails and breathtaking views, it’s an absolute must visit!

⛰️ We did the Seesaw to Dam Wall route. It was approximately 7km / 270m Elevation. Highly recommend!! If you have time, definitely bring your cozzie and go for a dip in the dam too.👙

If you thought it couldn’t get any better… think again! Their cafe is opening up soon! ☕️🍪🥹💖 Can’t wait to get out there will you girls for some yapping, exploring, and post hike snacks!!

Before anyone asks… we won’t be going down to the beach 🤣💀

We’re heading back to the iconic BOS400 shipwreck. A steady trail, with no much elevation (if you go the correct route 👀… if you came on the last one, it’ll just be the flat section of the trail we walked back on, then back to the parking. No scrambling, no beach). There’s a small climbing section, but very manageable! Scroll to see the climb. Otherwise it’s a lovely walk along the side of the mountain, with incredible views of the surrounds and ocean 🌊🐬⛰️

Meet: 8am at Sandy Bay Parking Kronenzicht

GIRLS!!! We’re designing our very own Her Hike x First Ascent ACTIVEWEAR RANGE!!! 😭💖🎉🇿🇦🥾⛰️

The gals are finally going to be matching!! 🥹

When I say this has been the HARDEST secret to keep… when all I do is yap with you girls every single weekend 😭🤣

This month is Her Hike’s 1st birthday, a whole 12 months of exploring, yapping, and connecting. 🥹 The timing of this feels like a sign that this movement, this community we’ve built together, is only just getting started.

From the beginning, I knew I didn’t want to release just any old merch with our logo slapped onto an average top and call it a day. I wanted us to create something we’d genuinely want to wear on every hike. Pieces that are not only functional, comfortable, and durable, but that truly represent us. 💖

I’m talking fleeces, leggings, hydration vests… anything and everything! I already know the group chats are about to turn into a full-blown Miranda Priestly lookalike contest and I’m already obsessed 😭👠🤣

The biggest thank you to and for believing in our community, and of course to all our incredible girls for making a simple idea a whole movement. 🥹💖🇿🇦

Here’s to one year of Her Hike, one year of taking back our right to safety… and to looking damn good while doing it 🇿🇦⛰️🥾💖💅
