Today we hosted our STS/LMC scholars on board an ocean going vessel, yes the real thing. The S.A. Agulhas II, South Africa's Antarctic supply and research ship. A very interesting afternoon tour throughout the vessel conducted by two cadets who knew their ship and the workings of it intimately.
The day was rounded off with a sumptuous burger and fizzy drink at the Royal Cape Yacht Club.
Our appreciation to the ship's captain and crew, African Marine Solutions and the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment.
