Thank you to Cape Town Tourism for giving us the opportunity to attend the Trauma Containment & Stabilisation training. A special thank you as well to the CIC training facilitators. We learned so much, found the content highly relatable, and really appreciated the practical learning methods and hands-on approach throughout the training.

Bruce Templeton was the kind of person you don’t come across often, and once you did, you never forgot him. He had a deep love for the outdoors — for hiking trails that tested your courage and rewarded you with beauty, and for capturing the quiet magic of fauna and flora through his lens. But more than that, Bruce loved sharing those moments. He brought friends along for the journey, gently encouraging, supporting, and even helping some conquer their fear of heights along the way.
He was an incredible friend — honest, funny, and deeply endearing. If you needed advice, Bruce would give it to you straight, always with warmth. If you needed someone to listen, he held your confidence without question. You could tell him anything.
Bruce had a way about him — those beautiful blue, sparkly, slightly mischievous eyes, and that unmistakable chuckle. And of course, his famous “long story short”… which was never short, but always worth every second.
At The Clubhouse, he wasn’t just a regular — he was part of its soul. His seat at the head of the locals’ table wasn’t just a chair, it was his place, where stories were told, laughter was shared, and friendships were deepened.
Bruce left his mark on every person lucky enough to know him. In the paths we walk, in the stories we tell, and in the laughter we share — he will always be with us.

Condolences to his family and friends.

RIP Brucie - with much love from us at The Clubhouse.
