🌊 Hidden beneath the waves lies a fascinating world waiting to be explored.

Join us for a guided rocky shore adventure during one of the best low tides of the month.

🐚 Discover sea stars, anemones, limpets, seaweeds and the amazing creatures that call our coastline home. We'll use to document what we find, and contribute to citizen science.

We'll also spend a few minutes helping protect this special place by removing any litter we find.

📅 18 July
⏰ 10:00 am, followed by a coffee together across the road at Chardonnay Deli

🪸Celebrate Mandela Day on Saturday 18 July with Branch Out by giving back to nature. Spaces are limited - book yours today using the link above!

⏰Join us at 10am to explore the incredible biodiversity of Dalebrook's rocky shore around the time of spring low tide (exact spring low is earlier in the week).

🦀We'll remove litter, discover fascinating marine life, and use iNaturalist to document the species we find, contributing to citizen science and helping build our understanding of local biodiversity—one observation at a time.

🌊Use this time to contribute your 67 minutes (or longer!) for Mandela Day, and then join us for a coffee at Chardonnay Deli across the road afterwards.

🌤️Wear warm clothes and slip-slops or shoes you don't mind getting wet. Free event, all Youth age 18-35 welcome.

Table Mountain is full of surprising gems if you look closely...like this carnivorous sundew (Drosera) on the slopes above Scarborough.

Take a stroll on the mountain and chances are you'll spot one....many of them love wet feet so look for places where the ground is wet.

Such a gem, and incredible to think we have our very own plants in the Cape that consume insects!
