We look forward to seeing you on Saturday for our birds of Silvermine valley session with our expert birder!

(Bring a raincoat in case of drizzle.)

Here are the details:
🦅Join us and an expert birder to learn about the birds of the Silvermine Valley on Saturday 18 April!

📌Meet at the Sunbird Centre and we'll then head out on a walk together where you'll learn bird identification techniques, how to contribute to citizen science, and take part in some fun bird counts!

🥾Bring walking shoes, hat, water and a snack, plus binoculars if you have them (no stress if not).

This is a free event for youth age 18-35, all welcome. Run in collaboration with the SANParks Honorary Rangers.

Do you know a bulbul from a bunting? A sugarbird from a suncatcher?

If you want to learn more about how to identify birds, their amazing habits and what we can do to look after them, join us on Saturday 18 April for our morning session with an expert birder.

We'll enjoy a lovely walk together in the Silvermine Valley to observe the birds of the area.

Bring binoculars if you have them.

This is a free event - all youth age 18-35 are welcome.

🌿 Youth Hike to Muizenberg Peak! 🌿

On Sunday the 7th of September we’re heading up the mountain with the SANParks Honorary Rangers for a youth hike 🥾✨. Along the way, we’ll learn more about the work of the Honorary Rangers, explore the beauty of Muizenberg Peak, and even get a little intro to birding from an expert birder 🐦

A perfect mix of adventure, conservation, and community 💚

Don't forget to wear your hiking shoes and bring a jacket, hat, water and some snacks. And if you've got a pair of binoculars, definitely bring those along as well!
