With over 16 years of experience in IT, technology management, and law enforcement, Lieutenant Colonel Ryno van der Heever has dedicated his career to protecting people in the digital world.

Serving with the South African Police Service (SAPS) and Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (Hawks) in Cybercrime Investigations, he works at the forefront of digital investigations and combating cyber-enabled crime.

Heather is an admitted Attorney, Notary Public and Conveyancer with over 30 years of anti-corruption legal experience. She previously spent 25 years at South Africa’s Special Investigating Unit (SIU) as Principal Forensic Lawyer, leading complex investigations into fraud, theft, and corruption. She currently works at Johan Victor Attorneys & Litigators, where her legal strategy bridges investigation, civil recovery, disciplinary action, and prosecution.
