Our Empowerment Day at St George’s Home for Girls with 33 amazing young girls was filled with energy, excitement and smiles all around 🤍

The self-defence session led by Ashihara Karate International, under the guidance of Kaicho Hoosain Narker, had the girls fully engaged — participating eagerly, asking questions, and many even showing interest in joining the karate club.

We ended off the day on a high note with supper for everyone, sharing burgers, chips and drinks together 🍔✨

Moments like these remind us that empowerment starts with opportunity, support and a little bit of fun. Thank you to everyone who made this possible.

Khidmah Foundation SA was honoured to be part of the paediatric outreach, where we distributed care packs to the children in attendance — each one thoughtfully put together with essential hygiene items to restore dignity, promote good health, and build confidence in young hearts. For many of these children, something as simple as a toothbrush or facecloth becomes a reminder that they are seen, valued, and cared for.

This Ramadhan, your support allowed us to make a meaningful impact across multiple communities — from boeber distribution in Riversonderend, to providing iftaar in Madinah, supporting Muslim inmates at Voorberg Prison, hosting a falooda distribution during the Badr programme, and carrying out food distributions and a heartfelt Hijab Drive in Langa. Alongside this, we served hundreds through our iftaars and relief efforts.

Ramadhan may be over, but the spirit of giving continues. Keep your sadaqah flowing 🤍

We are collecting new and gently worn hijabs for the underprivileged community in Langa. For many women and girls, a hijab is not just a garment — it is identity, modesty and devotion to Allah ﷻ.

The Prophet ﷺ said: “The best of people are those who are most beneficial to others.” Let us be a means of ease for someone who may be struggling silently.

Your small act of sadaqah could clothe a sister, uplift her heart, and earn you ongoing reward. 🌿

We partnered with 𝐅𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐡 𝐈𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐢𝐝 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, an established organization in Madinah. Your funds have gone towards, 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐨𝐭 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐬 for the poor and needy living on the outskirts of the blessed city.

At the request of the organisation, no photos were taken during distribution to protect the dignity and honour of the people of Madinah.

All smiles on the first day of school 😊📚

What should be an exciting return to class is a struggle for many children who arrive without stationery — and sometimes even without lunch.

Today we visited Blomvlei Primary (Hanover Park) and Prince George Primary (Lavender Hill), where we distributed 500 stationery packs, each filled with 10+ essential items, helping learners start the year with dignity and confidence.

We also shared 200 bread squares, generously donated by , ensuring that learning didn’t begin on an empty stomach.

A small act, but a powerful reminder that when a community comes together, hope is restored — one child, one smile, one school day at a time 🤍
