We make Biochar using an invasive water w**d called Water hyacinth.

We sell the Biochar locally and in markets in the C*D area,but also use it in our school garden.

The produce is then sold locally in Makhaza, and people are loving the organic and taste vagitables 🙂.

Not only that , but we also do weaving using plastic waste!👏🏿

We can make (per order) placemats for your table and nice small bags.

Molweni!!

We are now harvesting spinach every week ( on Thursdays) and selling it locally.🥬🥬

Potatoes will soon be ready ( end of October) we will sell the locally as well 🥔🥔.

We are going to do a dry run of our own Market day in October....stay tuned.

We sell the Biochar and our Woven products at Mowbray market ( takes place every first Saturday of each month 10:00am-14:00pm)

Biochar 1 kg ( ready to use in your garden) R85 for now.

And are looking for farmers that can buy in bulk....if you know anyone around Cape Town 😉😉

Sorry for the sound track!🙂 Today the energy is high.

Production of the Biochar is going great,

In the garden, we have spinach almost ready for harvest, potatoes are also doing great ( I could only upload 20 pictures )

The weaving is also coming along great, sold a table mat yesterday at the Mowbray market.

That's the reason of the soundtrack 😂 energy!

Things are coming along nicely.

Molweni 😁

The past 2 weeks have been amazing,

Don't mind the mess, a drunk driver almost distroyed our marketplace...but thanks to the tire planters we made everything is A ok..

Besides that,

We planted some potatoes and more spinach last week.

Painting the shelves in our marketplace ( not all but some) 😊

This week we finish the vagitable beds and more planting.

And make more Biochar!

As you can see we have been busy!

Fresh from the garden at Sinako high school to the marketplace.

We started both the farm and the marketplace last year, with a group of community members and we are still at it.
