Pillar to Post invites your school/organisation to participate in a tour to Correctional Services. To date, and with great success, 1500 tours have been conducted with phenomenal feedback. This specifically designed tour dispels the myth that prison is a five-star hotel. One sees first hand that it is an overcrowded place of punishment, where dreams become illusions and a place where you could bec
ome just a number. Nothing that you experience on tour is candy-coated and the message is loud and clear, but the approach is gentle and loving and it is this combination which is the winning formula. The tours are not available to the general public as it is exclusive for school learners, educators and organisation staff members. Furthermore, this programme does not glamorise or objectify offenders, nor does it glamorise prison. The outcome of the experience should lead one to a realisation to rediscover their sense of existence and be willing to reform their outlook about crime, encouraging one to rehabilitate before serving time. The cost of these tours is R 6 000 per bus (including bus & including lunch) or R 5 100 per bus (including bus & excluding lunch) or R4 100 (excluding bus & including lunch) or R 3 200 (excluding bus & excluding lunch).
