Ruberta was part of our February intake CAST Model Program. Her goal was to empower herself and to be able to support and care for both herself and her children. She enjoys arts and crafts, from beading and painting to creating decorative pieces for spaces.

She has now been employed on a two-month contract working with the .

Her inspiring words are: “Never judge a book by its cover. There is always hope, and one should never give up.”

Our Cast Model is one of the ways we Connect, Assist, Support and Transform the lives of our beneficiaries.

Through the Cast Model program, we equip our beneficiaries with practical skills and basic training that restore dignity, build confidence, and open doors to employment.

As the cold settles in across Cape Town, winter brings more than just lower temperatures it deepens the daily challenges faced by those living on the streets. At Souper Troopers, we believe that warmth is more than just a blanket.

This winter, we’re calling on our community to stand with us by collecting essential items to support those navigating the harsh conditions. Every contribution, no matter how small, becomes part of someone’s survival story.

What we’re collecting:
- Blankets
- Warm clothing (jackets, jerseys, socks, beanies, gloves)
- Shoes
- Non-perishable food items
- Toiletries (soap, toothpaste, sanitary products)

How to get involved:
Donate items or money, host a collection point at your office or home, or partner with us to amplify impact.

Whether you’re an individual, a team, or an organisation, there’s a role for you to play.

This is more than a seasonal campaign, it’s a reminder that compassion is a daily practice.

Let’s show up, together, and make winter a little more bearable for those who need it most.

We are thankful for your support 🫶.

As a long‑standing partner of Souper Troopers, we’re continually inspired by the life‑changing work they deliver across their programmes - including the Moving On Project in partnership with the Cape Town Central City Improvement District (CCID). 🤝

Since September 2025, the project has supported individuals experiencing homelessness through skills training, employment pathways, and holistic support, addressing both practical and personal barriers to long‑term change.

In just 6 months:
👥 62 participants enrolled
💼 48 participants employed
✅ 77.4% employment success rate

Behind these numbers are real stories of dignity restored, confidence rebuilt, and futures reshaped.

We’re proud to support Souper Troopers’ wider mission of creating opportunity and helping people move forward with purpose.
