The work continues. ❤️

Since March, we’ve been supporting Edyardini Community Development in Khayelitsha - from supporting young children through their aftercare programme with meals, homework sessions and games, to providing meals every Tuesday outside SASSA.

This work is made possible by people who choose to give. Your donations help us keep showing up, week after week, for the communities we serve.

Support the work via the links in our bio.
Every contribution makes a difference. 🤍

🌸 Happy Women’s Day, Mzansi! 🇿🇦

Today, we celebrate the incredible women of South Africa - women whose strength, resilience, courage and determination continue to shape our communities and our nation.

Wathint’ Abafazi, Wathint’ Imbokodo.
You strike a woman, you strike a rock.

From the women who raised us, to the women leading change, building communities and inspiring the next generation - today, we celebrate you.

Here’s to the women of Mzansi. Your strength is our strength.

This Women's Day, Project Plýsi returned to Edendale Primary in Manenberg to celebrate more than 90 amazing young girls. 💜

The day was filled with joy as the girls enjoyed manicures, fresh haircuts and beautiful hairstyles, while some prepare to perform in Sarafina! tomorrow. There was also plenty of laughter as the girls made bracelets and simply enjoyed being children.

We are also grateful to continue our partnership with Manenberg SAPS, with additional parcels being donated to support their Victim Support Programme.

💇 A heartfelt thank you to Sandy-lee Paulsen Maloy, Farah Frequencies and Coiffure Ezra for generously volunteering your time and sharing your incredible expertise. The wonderful haircuts and beautiful hairstyles you gave the girls brought so much confidence, joy and excitement to their day.

If this work touches your heart, please consider making a donation. Every contribution matters - even R5 helps keep this work going and allows us to continue investing in the lives of young people across our communities.

Thank you for being part of this journey.

Today, our volunteers came together to pack more than 90 Women's Day hygiene parcels for the girls of Edendale Primary School in Manenberg.

In the coming weeks, we look forward not only to handing over these parcels, but also to spending time with the learners and celebrating the incredible young women they are becoming.

Project Plýsi exists to ensure that access to basic hygiene products is never a barrier to dignity, confidence or opportunity.

A huge thank you to every volunteer who gave up their time to make this initiative possible. Your kindness, energy and commitment ensured that every parcel was packed with care.

Together, we continue to prove that small acts of service can create lasting change. 💜

Today, we proudly handed over the Dr Cyrill Walters Computer Laboratory at Lotus High School - a space that represents opportunity, dignity, and hope.

Through the incredible generosity of Incredible Connection, in partnership with the Foundation, learners now have access to a dedicated computer lab where they can develop digital skills, conduct research, complete assignments, and prepare for the opportunities of tomorrow.

This project is about far more than computers.

Lotus High School serves over 400 learners, all of whom come from communities across the Cape Flats.

The lab is proudly named in honour of Dr Cyrill Walters - an accomplished academic, researcher, educator, and concert pianist. Her journey from the Cape Flats to earning a PhD and serving in higher education is a powerful reminder that education has the power to transform lives and open doors that once seemed impossible.

We were honoured to welcome Dr Samantha Kriger, Dr Walters' sister, who shared her sister's inspiring story with the matric learners. She spoke about perseverance, purpose, and the belief that no matter where you come from, your dreams remain valid. Her message to every learner was clear: your circumstances do not determine your future. Nothing is impossible.

To further support the Class of 2026 as they prepare for their final examinations, every matric learner also received a pack of highlighters - a small gesture to encourage them during this important chapter of their academic journey.

To our partners at Incredible Connection, thank you for choosing to invest not only in computers, but in the futures of young people. Your generosity will continue changing lives for many years to come.

To the leadership, educators, and learners of Lotus High School - thank you for welcoming us. We know this lab will become a place where curiosity is encouraged, dreams are nurtured, and futures are built.

Together, we continue to prove that we truly Rise By Lifting Others.

Every quarter is a reminder that meaningful change happens through consistent action, generous hearts, and people who believe that a better world is possible. 💚

Over the past three months, we’ve continued to grow our impact - from supporting schools and communities to expanding our projects and building partnerships that will help us create lasting change.

Our Quarter 2 Impact Report is now available, offering a glimpse into what we’ve accomplished together and the lives your support has helped us reach.

To every donor, volunteer, partner, supporter, and friend: thank you. None of this would be possible without you.

This is only the beginning. We remain committed to serving with purpose, acting with compassion, and continuing to rise by lifting others.

Today, as part of our Youth Day initiatives, we had the privilege of partnering with Spear REIT Limited to donate five laptops to teachers at Lotus High School. 💻📚

When we speak about youth development, we often focus solely on learners. But behind every learner is a teacher working tirelessly to educate, guide, and inspire the next generation.

These five laptops will help equip educators with the tools they need to prepare lessons, support their students, and navigate an increasingly digital world. By investing in teachers, we are investing in thousands of future opportunities for young people.

A sincere thank you to Spear REIT for their generosity and commitment to making a tangible difference. Partnerships like these remind us that lasting change happens when organisations come together with a shared purpose.

Together, we continue to rise by lifting others.

Happy Youth Day! 🇿🇦

Today, we switched things up.

While much of our work focuses on serving others, today we took a moment to give back to the young people who make that work possible - our incredible volunteers.

These dedicated teenagers give up countless hours, early mornings, weekends, and late nights to help us uplift communities across Cape Town. Whether it's packing donations, fundraising, or serving alongside us on the ground, they show up time and time again with compassion and commitment.

As a token of our appreciation, we gifted each volunteer a branded puffer jacket to help keep them warm during those cold early starts and long days of service.

To our volunteers: thank you. Your passion, dedication, and willingness to serve inspire us every day. None of what we do would be possible without you.

This Youth Day, we celebrate young people not only for who they are, but for the difference they are making in the lives of others.

Today, as part of our Youth Day initiatives, we spent the morning in Khayelitsha delivering warmth, dignity, and hope to young people who need it most.

Our first stop was Elimiyo Educare Centre, where we handed over more than 30 knitted jerseys, along with blankets, to support the little ones during the cold winter months. While the children were unfortunately not at the centre during our visit, we know these gifts will be welcomed with excitement and appreciation in the days ahead.

We also visited a family whose home was recently affected by a devastating fire, leaving them with little more than the clothes on their backs. We were able to provide jerseys, blankets and scarves to help bring some comfort during an incredibly difficult time.

What makes these donations even more special is the story behind them. Every jersey was lovingly knitted by a group of remarkable women at a local retirement home. In many ways, today's handover represented something beautiful: one generation investing in another.

From the generations before us to the generations after us, this is what it means to Rise By Lifting Others.

We shared the photos, but they didn’t quite capture the heart of Project Plýsi.

Join us as we dive deeper into a project dedicated to restoring dignity, providing essential hygiene products, and reminding people that they matter.

This is Project Plýsi.
