JOB OPPORTUNITY: Executive Director – Jungle Theatre Company (JTC)

Location: Muizenberg, Cape Town (Hybrid) | Full-time, Permanent

Since 2001, JTC has used theatre to drive social & environmental change. Now entering a transformative new phase, we’re looking for a systems-oriented, strategic leader to help shift from a founder-led model to institutional excellence.

You’re the right fit if you have:
3–7 years’ management experience in SA’s NGO or creative sectors
Strong skills in finance, fundraising, governance, and people leadership
A “business rigour + creative heart” approach

WHAT A DAY!

Saturday, 28 March, was pure magic! We took our Creative Arts Clubs participants from Khayelitsha and Vrygrond to the breathtaking Assegaaibosch Nature Reserve in Stellenbosch for a fun day out that none of us will ever forget.

We hiked until our legs were buzzing, played games that had everyone laughing non-stop, and had real conversations about why nature conservation matters. But the highlight? Watching our young crew take the Jungle Pledge, standing tall as the newest Protectors of Nature!

This past weekend in Citrusdal was absolutely epic!

Our adventure kicked off on Friday with a high-energy drumming, music & dance workshop. Our little stars were on fire, exploring their creativity and finding their rhythm!

Saturday was showtime! We unleashed our giant python puppet, our trusty turtle, and some majestic Gemsbok & Lion masks for a performance of Python and The Qunube Tree. The story came to life! To top it off, we had a super chill (but cool) kelp painting session, with our amazing drummers setting the vibe.
And for the grand finale on Sunday? The crown-making workshop! Our little kings and queens went to town with glitter, feathers, ribbons, and diamantes. The result? Absolute masterpieces!

A massive thank you to the Wolfie Familie Festival team for having us. We are already counting down the days until next year!

As we take a short intermission for the holidays, we wish you a season filled with joy, a plot twist of delightful surprises, and a finale of pure happiness.

On Saturday, 22 November, we hosted a successful Creative Arts Clubs Festival with participants from Khayelitsha, Vrygrond, and Muizenberg. We would like to give a special shout-out to all the parents and teachers who attended and showed support for our beneficiaries.
