Rocket is a handsome 2 year old Australian Cattle Dog cross who has spent more than a year in foster care, patiently waiting for the right family to come along.
While in foster care, he has faced a few challenges, one of them being surgical correction of a pe**le condition. He has fully recovered and is a strong, healthy dog now. Despite also being moved around to different foster homes, which can be quite unsettling, he has grown into a loving, affectionate companion who enjoys being part of everyday life.
Typical of his breed, Rocket forms deep bonds with his humans and can be naturally wary of strangers. He is gentle and devoted which shines through once he feels comfortable and settled.
At home he is a very easy dog to live with. He is quiet, well behaved, and happy to relax indoors. He is also happy to be left on his own at home. Rocket is intelligent, playful, and highly food-motivated, making him responsive and enjoyable to interact with.
One of his favourite things in the world is a tennis ball! He loves playing fetch and will happily retrieve again and again, always eager for another throw. He also enjoys walks, trips to the park, and opportunities to explore the world around him.
Rocket generally gets along well with other dogs and often invites them to play. He tends to be more curious than pushy. He enjoys off-lead time in safe areas and has excellent recall with people he trusts.
He also loves car rides - he is a calm passenger, settles easily, and is always ready for the next adventure.
Rocket would thrive in a home with kind, patient owners who enjoy spending time with their dog and building a close bond. He thrives with positive reinforcement, consistency and praise and in return offers unwavering loyalty and companionship. He needs someone who is looking for a close companion that can provide consistency and clear boundaries, someone who is active and who can provide mental stimulation. He needs a home where he can continue to flourish and be loved for the wonderful dog he is.

💔 Loki & Florence Have Lost Their Home 💔

Sometimes life just isn't fair.

Loki and Florence are a beautiful bonded brother and sister pair, just one and a half years old. After being rescued from terrible circumstances as kittens, they finally found what we hoped would be their forever home. We thought their happy ending had arrived.

But a year later, through no fault of their own, they were surrendered back to us when their owner could no longer keep them.

We promised them we would find them another loving home.

We tried desperately. We searched for adopters. We searched for foster homes. We shared their story and hoped someone would open their heart. But no one came forward.

Then an angel stepped in.

Out of the kindness of her heart, Connie Griessen from Camelot Kennels and Cattery offered to take them in until we could find a solution. The staff at Camelot take wonderful care of all the cats in their care, and we are incredibly grateful for their support.

But Loki and Florence are not thriving.

They cry for attention. They long for affection. They watch people come and go, hoping someone will stop and spend time with them. They miss having a person of their own. They miss cuddles on the couch, sunny windowsills, gentle strokes, and the comfort of being part of a family.

They don't understand why they lost their home.

They need a home. A place where they can be loved and cherished. A place where they can finally feel safe and secure again.

If you cannot adopt, please consider fostering. We provide all food, bedding, and supplies, and we cover all veterinary expenses. All you need to provide is love, companionship, and a temporary place for them to heal while they wait for their forever family.

Please help us give Loki and Florence the happy ending they deserve.

FOSTER/FOREVER HOMES NEEDED
7 Gorgeous girls and boys looking for their own foster or forever homes. These beautiful pups are cute, very cuddly and playful and would make wonderful additions to a loving family.

When fostering there is no financial outlay on your part, unless you choose to contribute. We provide all food, bedding, bowls etc and cover all medical bills.

If you would like to adopt, the adoption fee is R1100 per pup and includes first vaccination, microchip and sterilisation.

Teddy and Rocky are available for adoption. These gorgeous dogs are from Khayelitsha and have the most beautiful and gentle personalities. They just adore affection. Their previous owner abandoned them 😮‍💨 and their carer Alfred has been taking the best care of them and we have assisted where we can. They really deserve living homes of their own.
