🚨 Saturday Hike 🚨

Let’s explore another epic excursion at Simonsberg Peak near Stellenbosch this Saturday.

This is relatively 8km out and back trail. The hike trail has some very rewarding views. The hike through the elegant vineyards of Tokara and Simonsberg Nature Reserve adds to the splendid views of the Franschhoek valley and nearby mountain ranges.

The views from the top are amazing. Literally 360 degrees of view open up at the top, over Stellenbosch, Tokara and Helshoogte, the Franschhoek valley as well as the Paarl valley. It is absolutely stunning.

Let’s explore Majik Forest 🌳 this Saturday!

Majik Forest is a wonderful family friendly greenbelt in the Durbanville area. This grassy wide open space on the edge of Welgemoed that encompasses two dams (Fynbos Dam and Amandel Dam) and of course the titular small forest is great for walks and picnics with its gorgeous scenery.

This is an easy trail and stretches for 2.6Km ↔️ long. It is child friendly, so feel free to bring your child, partner, parents, friends, colleagues and loved ones.

Another epic and memorable hike awaits at Kirstenbosch.

This Saturday, we are hiking at Skeleton Gorge trail. The trail starts in world-renowned Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. We’ll wander through tunnels of trees, and over little wooden bridges making our way up the Eastern slopes of Table Mountain to the Contour Path where it is intersected by Skeleton Gorge.

The route is steep and the trail stretches for 7km. A good fitness level is required for this one. This trail is shaded nearly all the way to the top which makes a cooler accent much appreciated on a hot 🔥 day.

Join us at Sea Point Promenade this Saturday!

The Sea Point Promenade is one of Cape Town’s most well-loved stretches of coastline—a broad, paved walkway running about 7 kilometres from Mouille Point to Bantry Bay. It is bordered by the ocean on one side and a greenbelt dotted with play parks, benches, and bits of public art on the other, with Lion’s Head and Signal Hill rising behind.

Let’s enjoy fresh breeze coming chilly Atlantic ocean, carrying the sharp scent of salt and the call of seagulls overhead. When the tide is high or the wind picks up, waves 🌊 crash against the seawall, flinging sea spray over the edge and catching unsuspecting passersby.

Let’s hike at Wellington on 28 February 2026!!!

The Bainskloof Waterfall Hike is a perfect escape into nature. The trail is moderate ( not an easy route) however it leads to the breathtaking destination. The trail is very manageable for hikers of all levels of fitness and experience. The trail is about 7km long. The waterfalls are magnificent, the flora is beautiful and there’s nothing quite like a swim in fresh mountain water. The mountain pools are beautifully clear and it makes for a pleasant change to freedive in fresh water .💦

What to pack: hiking shoes, costume, towel, mask & snorkel, snacks, hat, suncream.

Let’s hike, play games and have picnic at Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden.

The Yellowwood Trail in Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden is a 3 km, roughly 1.5-hour, moderate, and steep circular hike starting near the Fragrance Garden. It offers a shaded, lush hike through indigenous forest featuring large Podocarpus latifolius trees. 🌳 🌲.

It is manageable within a couple of hours with the delightful pools along the way are invariably filled with tadpoles or pebbles and a litany of other amusement options.

Bring your partner, friends, colleagues, neighbours, loved ones and most importantly, your positive attitude 😊💚🖤.
