Hi everyone 💛 A big KVDK hug to you all from Kinders van die Kaap (KVDK)!

It’s time to share a little of what we’ve been up to over the past month. February was extra special for us and our precious children.

We had the absolute blessing of welcoming a second visit from our overseas friends/ family from Amsterdam, Henny van der Graaf, who specializes in children’s trauma, and her husband Wilko van der Graaf , a retired adult mental health specialist. Their love for our children and their heart for what we do at KVDK has been truly humbling and deeply gratifying. Their unwavering support to us started during Covid / Lockdown.

February was all about play therapy. The timing of their visit couldn’t have been more perfect, as launching play therapy is our next priority project for our Kinders van die Kaap. Through guided play, we witnessed moments of love, healing, patience, joy, fun, and renewed hope.

These pictures tell a beautiful story, one of little hearts being gently supported and reminded that they are safe, valued, and deeply loved.

We also had the opportunity to visit Hannah's Home of Safety with our visitors & together we gifted the babies with clothes & toiletries. KVDK also gifted the staff with some self care goodies.

Watch this space 🌟 We are currently in the process of seeking sponsorship to build our very own Play Therapy Center at our head office. This dream is for our children, a dedicated safe space where healing can happen through play.

Hi everyone, Happy Thursday & nice cool hug from us here at Kinders van die Kaap NPC.🤗

Today we want to introduce you to a special lady, Charlotte Hoffman, from Freiburg, Germany. ❤️. Charlotte was introduced to us by a friend, Dwayne Jacobs, in Dec 2024. She immediately showed interest in what we are doing🙏🏼 & sponsored us with much needed food supplies. We could feel her love & compassion for KVDK💛.

Since then she's visited KVDK twice, in March 2025, she sponsored us with school supplies & toiletries for all our learners📚💝. And then again In December 2025, she visited & partnered with us in our community project in Blikkiesdorp, Delt.💚 She supplied & handed out the self care packages & KVDK supplied a warm nutritious meal😋.

Before leaving Cpt, she continued shining🌟, by lighting up our Learning center with beautiful Christmas decor & lights🎊🌲. Our kids loved it!✳️ Thank you once again Charlotte. God bless you.

It's back to school or in this case, its their first year at school ✅️.

Meet, our KVDK children going to grade R, this year. They were promoted from our KVDK Learning Center.📚. They are Daniel, Ethan, Lilita, Desne',Tujay, Anastasia, Queenie & Tyeasa .

We at Kinders van die Kaap, NPC, were privileged to be able to spend time with them in , to buy them their full school uniforms, stationery & school bags 💝.

They are our future & we love them, we pray everything of the best for them😍.

Hi everyone

A very big Christmas KVDK hug to you.🤗🎅🌲.

With Christmas on our doorstep, it was only fitting for us here at KVDK, to spread kindness to others. This year we decided to bless more than 200 children in Blikkies Dorp, Delft, with a warm meal & a self care pack. We involved our own children to package the gifts & helped them understand that "sharing is caring". 🥰

We hit the road on Thursday 17th Dec, & were delighted to cook and serve the meal from our food trailer🥳. It was also inspiring to see them clothed in items we blessed them with, last year Christmas💝. Everything was a huge & humbling success.🎊🚚

We are feeling so loved & blessed! 🎊

From cooking inside our tiny learning-centre kitchen…...
to now having a brandnew fully fitted mobile food trailer that lets us feed even MORE of our children and surrounding communities, what an incredible journey! 🙌🏽💛

Every day we serve warm meals to 250 children, and knowing we can now reach families all across the Cape fills our hearts with gratitude. God has truly blessed this mission, and we are walking in our calling. 🙏🏽✨

The wait is over! 🤩
Kinders van die Kaap FC drops the official 2026/27 home kit for our juniors U10–U16! ⚽🔥

Today we also introduced our technical team & management, the powerhouse crew doing phenomenal work behind the scenes to keep these boys growing, disciplined and inspired. 🙌

These kids’ drive and passion pushed us to go all out to make sure they finally have their very own kit. Last season they had to borrow another team’s kit for the entire year… not anymore. Their pride shows in every smile today. 💛⚽

Yesterday, we visited Hannah's Place of Safety , a follow up to our last post regarding the letters of encouragement to the staff & our donation of very cute & essential items for the babies 🐣.

We were once again reminded of how"far a little can go" & how important it is to partner with other organizations. 🥰

🌟 Mandela Day Magic! 🌟
What a phenomenal Mandela Day we had on 17 July 2025 , all thanks to our incredible sponsor team , impact.com ,who spent the day with us! 💛

From start to finish, they were fantastic, kind, and full of heart. They played games with the kids (which the children LOVED 🎉), chopped veggies like pros 🥕, and even wrote personal letters to each child, congratulating them on not missing more than 5 days of school in Term 1 — what an amazing achievement! 🎓👏

Their care didn’t stop there. The team also helped pack baby blankets and essentials from our NPC, ready to be delivered to a baby home soon. 🍼💝

On top of that, they wrote the most beautiful letters of encouragement to the baby home's dedicated staff. 🌼
