السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته

My name is Zulfa Bayat . I'm the person behind Project Maaida.

The organization has evolved over the last 2 years Alhamdulillah.

We're now offering Quran classes in 4 areas, we do regular workshops to empower our students and recently hosted our 1st Workshop at The Capetonian Hotel.

The Strong Women Workshop 💪.

This labor of love was inspired by a true life event i had the honor of experiencing. Of course at the time I didn't see it as such.

I use to be a chronic people pleaser. I would always be available, always be the minste, always put myself last.

Until I realized that I too deserve a space front and centre in my own life.

This is where I started exploring my "انا", journey, not the egotistical one, the true one, to find out Who I was and invest in my Why.

In 2024 someone said to me, "when a woman is approaching 50, she doesn’t have many options she should just accept what comes".

50's the new 20, I say.

Let's say I saw this as a challenge, your age doesn't define you, we can change the trajectory of our lives at any age and live our true purpose, even in your 50's.

• The impact of emotional abuse
• Healthy boundaries and recovery
• Compassionate, faith-informed approaches to healing
