We share our resources and network with people who share the same vision and who believes in community upliftment and sharing. We DON'T work with people or organizations who don't believe in team work, sharing or showing kindness to other good doers. We believe it takes a team to bring change. A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful Southfield community members who reached out with donations of clothing and toys.

Your generosity has enabled us to extend kindness and support to a newly established senior community in Lavender Hill. Your donations have brought comfort, joy, and a reminder that there are people who genuinely care.

We are incredibly grateful for every person who has contributed. Together, we continue to make a meaningful difference, one act of kindness at a time. ❤️

As we all know, August is my birthday month, and what better way to celebrate than by spreading a little joy! 🎂❤️

I was so honoured to spend some time sharing breakfast and cake with my wonderful work colleagues at Dementia SA. Every year, we make time to come together, catch up, reconnect and simply enjoy each other’s company.

At Carers Unite, we truly believe in the importance of connection, building meaningful relationships, networking and sharing resources. When we work together, support one another and share what we have, we create stronger communities and make a greater impact.

Thank you to everyone who continues to be part of this journey. Here’s to another year of connection, collaboration and making a difference! ❤️🎂✨

There is nothing more rewarding than seeing the smiles on children's faces as they enjoy our activity books. 💙

A heartfelt thank you to all our incredible donors who believe in the work of Carers Unite. Your generosity makes it possible for us to print these activity books and distribute them free of charge to children and families who need them most.

This week, our activity books found their way into homes in the Lavender Hill community, bringing joy, creativity, and learning to young hearts.

Thank you for making a difference—one child at a time. 🌟

A heartfelt thank you to all our amazing donors who supported our clothing drive.

Because of your kindness, donated clothing has reached individuals and families in George, Delft, Mitchell's Plain, Lavender Hill, and Retreat. We were also able to assist people who were searching through bins, simply looking for something warm to wear during the cold winter months.

Your generosity has restored dignity, provided comfort, and reminded so many that they are not forgotten.

More photos will follow as the clothing continues to be distributed to those in need. Below is one of our dedicated volunteers, Thembi, assisting a family in Delft with clothing donated by our incredible supporters.

Thank you for making a real difference in the lives of those in need. Every donation, no matter how big or small, helps us bring hope and warmth to our communities. ❤️

💜 A Heartfelt Thank You to Indigo Brands 💜

A sincere thank you to Indigo Brands for their generous donation of female body spray. Because of your kindness, we were able to bless the wonderful senior ladies in the Lavender Hill community, bringing smiles and reminding them that they are valued and appreciated.

We are always looking for ways to enrich the lives of our seniors. If you are able to donate books, board games, wool, puzzles, craft supplies, or any other activities that can help keep them engaged, active, and connected, we would be incredibly grateful.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, helps us make a meaningful difference in the lives of our elderly community members.

If you would like to support this initiative, please get in touch with Carers Unite.

Together, we can continue to bring joy, dignity, and companionship to our seniors. 💜

For more than four years, XX Custom Designs and Carers Unite have proudly partnered to make a meaningful difference—one handcrafted dog collar at a time.

What started as a collaboration to design and create custom-made dog collars has grown into something far greater. Together, we have helped create employment opportunities, with these unique collars being purchased and sold as far as Switzerland.

The impact of this partnership reaches well beyond our borders. Through the generous support and donations received by Carers Unite, we were able to make Thembi's dream of opening her own soup kitchen in the Delft community a reality. Today, that dream continues to provide warm meals and hope to those who need it most.

This is a true example of what can be achieved through teamwork, shared vision, and investing in people. Together, we are not only changing lives—we are building stronger communities.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated clothing, books, and other miscellaneous items to support The Gerry's Angels Senior Group.

Thanks to your incredible generosity, the group hosted a very successful market day and raised much-needed funds to support their senior community in Lavender Hill.

Your kindness and willingness to give have made a real difference. Without your donations, this would not have been possible. Thank you for helping us bring hope, dignity, and support to our seniors.

Together, we are making a lasting impact—one act of kindness at a time. ❤️

This winter, thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors, we were able to support a feeding scheme in New Woodlands, Mitchell's Plain.

Together, we helped provide meals to 300–400 people, with around 80% being school children from the community.

Not everyone is able to physically serve meals, but every monetary donation makes a real difference. Your financial support allows us to purchase the ingredients needed to prepare these meals and ensure that no one goes hungry.

Thank you for trusting Carers Unite with your donations. Please know that every contribution goes directly towards helping those who need it most. Together, we are making a meaningful difference, one meal at a time. ❤️

Last Friday afternoon, Carers Unite partnered with BTC Group to present an awareness session for the staff and residents of Douglas Murray Senior Home.

The discussion focused on situational awareness and understanding what abuse is, how it can present itself, and why recognising the warning signs is so important. The interactive session created a safe space for learning, asking questions, and sharing experiences.

A sincere thank you to John Bezuidenhout for generously sharing his knowledge and helping us empower communities through education. Together, we are making awareness more accessible, one conversation at a time.

💜 Empowering Communities Through Education 💜

Carers Unite is proud to be collaborating with BTC Bezuidenhout to bring informative community talks on Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Domestic Violence (DV).

Our very first information session was hosted by Dews of Quietness NPO in Retreat, where more than 20 community members attended. The session provided valuable information, practical guidance, and left attendees feeling informed, empowered, and better equipped to support themselves and others.

Education is one of the most powerful tools in preventing abuse and creating safer communities.

If your organisation, church, school, workplace, or social group would like to host a GBV and Domestic Violence awareness talk, we would love to hear from you. John Bezuidenhout is available to present engaging and informative sessions tailored to your audience.

Together, we can raise awareness, start important conversations, and make a lasting difference.
