Youth unemployment is a crisis, but it’s not hopeless.

Real change is possible when we invest in skills, opportunities, and support that uplift young people instead of leaving them behind.

Here are the solutions that actually work:
🔹 Skills Training
Practical, in-demand digital and technical skills open real doors.
🔹 Internships & Learnerships
Paid, structured experience that helps youth build confidence and CVs.
🔹 Volunteering
Not a long-term fix, but a powerful way to gain experience, grow networks, and show initiative.
🔹 Entrepreneurship Support
Many young people want to start businesses they just need funding, mentorship, and training.

Youth don’t lack potential.

They lack opportunities, and it’s time we build them. 🚀🔥

Let’s push for a future where every young person gets a fair chance.

This is the cycle trapping thousands of young people:
➡️ You can't get a job without experience.
➡️ You can’t get experience without a job.

It’s a loop that keeps young people stuck, frustrated, and feeling hopeless, even when they’re willing to work hard.

The truth is, many entry‑level positions aren’t really entry‑level anymore.

Companies demand years of experience for roles that should be open to first‑time workers.

South Africa needs more:
🔸 Internships
🔸 Learnerships
🔸 Apprenticeships
🔸 Volunteer pathways
🔸 On‑the‑job training

Young people don’t lack potential — they lack opportunities to prove themselves. 🔥

Let’s break the cycle.

Hosi Phylia Tinyiko Lwandlamuni N'wamitwa II.

Hosi N'wamitwa II was a traditional leader of the Valoyi area in Limpopo.

She was appointed as the chief of the area in 2002. She was the first female traditional ruler of the Vatsonga people, and the first woman in the nation’s history to be appointed as Hosi.

Hosi N’wamitwa was involved with Non-Governmental Organisations working toward women’s empowerment in South Africa. She prioritised the development of her rural area, where joblessness and HIV-AIDS rates were high.

She was also one of several women traditional leaders whose leadership was studied under a University of Ghana project titled “Women and Political Participation in Africa: A Comparative Study of Representations and Roles of Female Chiefs,” funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. The project adopted a mixed‑methods approach to comparatively examine women’s representation in the institution of chieftaincy and their influence on women’s rights and wellbeing in Botswana, Ghana, Liberia, and South Africa.

Rest In Peace.
