MTWU is out and about at the Reef Tankers Truck Stop in Germiston alongside the National Bargaining Council for the Road Freight and Logistics Industry engaging directly with workers and ensuring visibility where it matters most.

Being visible on the ground allows workers to access important information, and strengthen unity within the industry.

We encourage all members in the area to come through, engage with us, and be part of the conversation as we continue taking the union closer to the workers.

It was a difficult journey for Mr Howard Solomons and his family following his unfair dismissal in December 2025. After being successfully reinstated and receiving back pay, his dignity and hope have been restored.

Represented by our Cape Town official, Mr Vukela, this victory once again proves why MTWU remains one of the most progressive unions, standing firmly for justice, fairness, and the protection of workers’ rights.
