Never assume that “this is just how things are done.”

An informed worker is better equipped to ask questions, recognise unfair treatment and seek the right assistance when needed.

And remember you do not have to face workplace challenges alone.

MTWU exists to organise, educate and represent workers.

As Women's Month draws to a close, we proudly recognise and celebrate one of our members in the Cash-in-Transit (CIT) industry, Mpho Landane, a woman whose determination, resilience and leadership continue to break barriers in a sector traditionally dominated by men.

Working in an operations room has not come without challenges. Every day, she is required to prove her worth, remain proactive, resilient and level-headed in an environment where failure is not an option. Yet she embraces this responsibility, knowing that her success helps create opportunities and open doors for other women who aspire to follow in her footsteps.

Her message to women considering a career in the CIT industry is simple but powerful: GO FOR IT. The industry continues to demonstrate that women are capable, independent and effective leaders in their own right.

We honour women like her who continue to challenge stereotypes, inspire change and strengthen our workplaces every day.

✊🏽 Thank you for your courage, dedication and commitment.
