PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE

Subject: The Future of Nala Community Forum (NCF)

Notice is hereby given that a special meeting of the Nala Community Forum (NCF) will be convened to address the current state and future of the Forum.

This meeting is called in accordance with the principles of the NCF Constitution and is open only to persons who carried the mandate of NCF in the 2021 local government elections, namely:

Former and current members of NCF

Ward candidates of 2021

PR candidates of 2021

Agenda:

Clarifying the role and ownership of NCF – reaffirming that NCF has no “owner”, it belongs to the community.

Reviewing the NCF Constitution and organisational structures.

Addressing challenges with accountability and transparency.

Discussing the way forward: rebuilding, restructuring, and reviving NCF as a true community forum.

Receiving input and adopting resolutions from eligible members and candidates.

Time: 15:00
Venue: 1343 Maile Street (Ha bo Neo Hlapho, pela ntlo ya Mashiya)

The purpose of this meeting is to collectively determine the future of NCF in line with its constitution and founding principles.

NALA COMMUNITY FORUM (NCF) HAS NO OWNER

To the people of Nala,

We want to make it clear: NCF does not belong to any single person, it has no “owner.”

NCF was founded as a community forum built by residents, for residents. It exists only through its members, its constitution, and the people who support it.

No individual can claim to own NCF or use it for personal benefit. The councillors and leaders are meant to serve the community, not themselves.

If NCF is to have a future, it must return to its roots: open, transparent, and accountable to the people of Nala.

The Forum belongs to the community not to one person.

A meeting will be held soon to discuss current affairs and major decisions will have to be taken to pave a way forward.
