Step into the story of Prince’s Grant ⛳🌿
From its beginnings in 1856, when the land was first granted and farmed along the North Coast, to the visionary dream of creating a championship golf course inspired by Augusta, Prince’s Grant has evolved into something truly special.
Today the estate blends heritage, coastal forest, championship golf, and breathtaking ocean views — a place where the landscape still leads the design and nature remains at the heart of the experience.
We’re excited to be visiting this remarkable estate together — exploring its scenery, its story, and the course that follows the natural ridges of the coastline.
Members & Branch supporters are warmly invited to join this outing.
It promises to be a memorable day of nature, and good company.

SPEAKER SPOTLIGHT: meet Lindsay Gray at the Indigenous Plant Fair.
Lindsay is a respected garden designer, author, and educator. She is the principal of The School of Garden Design, South Africa’s longest-serving private garden design school, where she has trained gardeners locally and abroad through both in-house and international correspondence courses.
She has co-authored and authored several gardening books, including Gardening for Butterflies (with Steve Woodhall), a beautifully illustrated guide to creating insect-friendly gardens in South Africa. Her work combines practical garden design with a deep love for biodiversity and sustainable gardening.
At the fair, Lindsay will share her expertise in her talk: "INVEST IN YOUR GARDEN BY CHOOSING THE RIGHT TREE" . Learn how selecting the right tree can be a legacy (not a liability) for you and the environment.

🌸 FREE TALKS at the Indigenous Plant Fair!

On Sun 7 Sept at 10:00 it's Jenny Dean, wildlife-friendly landscaper, celebrated for transforming “neat but lifeless” spaces into indigenous, water-wise sanctuaries alive with birds, butterflies, and bees.
In this talk, Jenny shares a new way of gardening: less lawn, more life; structure for pollinators; and beautiful, unusual plants to draw butterflies, birds and bees into suburban gardens—because we can heal the planet one garden at a time. (Think rewilding tricks like “dead hedges,” habitat layers, and zero-poison pest thinking.)
