🌿 A Fresh Cut for the Dam 💚

Today the HH4B team rolled up their sleeves and headed down to Homestead Dam for a good old-fashioned grass cut and clean-up session and what a difference it made!

From overgrown patches to refreshed open spaces, every bit of effort helps keep this special place safer, cleaner, and more enjoyable for everyone who visits. It’s amazing what a few dedicated hands (and some serious elbow grease!) can achieve in just a few hours.

But beyond the work itself, days like this are about showing up for our community and our environment — taking pride in the spaces we share and protecting them for future generations.

🐾 SPCA Clean-Up – Day 2 💪🌿

Day 2 at the Benoni SPCA, and the momentum kept building!

What started as a simple clean-up turned into something bigger: more hands on deck, more ground covered, and even more impact. A special thank you to Keysie Skips for donating a skip for the clean-up, always so helpful and quick to respond. Their support made a real difference in how much we were able to clear! 🙌

This is what community looks like. People showing up, giving their time, and backing organisations that truly make a difference 🐶🐱

🐾 Community Clean-Up for Benoni SPCA Market Day 🌿

Today, our team had the privilege of supporting the incredible work of the Benoni SPCA with a clean-up effort ahead of their upcoming market day.

With sleeves rolled up and a shared sense of purpose, volunteers came together to help clear and refresh the space, making it more welcoming for visitors, vendors, and of course, the animals who call the SPCA home. From litter collection to general tidying, every bit of effort contributes to creating a better environment for the community and the animals in their care.

Events like these are a reminder of what can be achieved when people come together for a good cause. The SPCA plays such an important role in protecting and caring for vulnerable animals, and it’s always rewarding to support their mission in a practical way.

We’re looking forward to seeing the space come alive on market day and we encourage everyone to pop by, show their support, and maybe even meet a furry friend looking for a home 🐶🐱

We are absolutely thrilled with how the Atlas Lakefield Garden is coming along!! It’s looking truly fantastic right now!

Every visit shows us something new to appreciate, and it’s such a joy to see this once-neglected space transformed into the vibrant, flourishing garden it is today 🌼🌱

None of this would have been possible without the tireless dedication of our amazing volunteers, supporters, and partners 💚 To everyone who has given their time, energy, expertise, or resources to the Atlas Garden - Thank you. This space belongs to all of you 🙌

Keeping Benoni Beautiful, One Day at a Time 💚

Today, the HH4B team rolled up their sleeves and headed out to Lanyon Road for a much-needed clean-up! 🚮🌱

From cutting back overgrowth and clearing weeds to removing litter, it was all hands on deck as we worked to clean and refresh this space for the community.

These small, consistent efforts are part of our bigger mission to keep Benoni clean, green, and beautiful — and we’re proud to be making a difference where it matters most.

This week, in honour of Earth Day and Arbor Day, something truly special unfolded 🌱

Our community came together with one shared purpose .... to nurture, protect and preserve the beautiful green spaces that give so much back to us. What made this week even more meaningful is that every single person showed up from a place of pure intention… not for recognition, but out of genuine kindness and care for the community. This is the true spirit of volunteering ;selfless, wholehearted, and deeply impactful.

We are truly grateful for each and every volunteer who gave their time, energy and heart and a collective love for our environment 🤍.

Our incredible team worked across Atlas and Mercury, and along Bill Davey Drive and the Dam Wall clearing, restoring and preparing these spaces for new life to take root. Spaces that will soon flourish again because of many hands and open hearts.

We were also joined by Thekga, showcasing their beautiful products crafted from biomass, a powerful reminder that even what comes from our earth can be transformed into something meaningful, useful and sustainable. A full-circle moment of nature giving, and giving again.

And as if in perfect harmony, the gentle rains this week arrived to nourish the very ground we’ve tended, sealing our efforts with nature’s blessing 💧

We are deeply grateful. For every person who showed up, every hand that helped, and every heart that cares.

And we are so proud to share our brand new digital home..... a space that captures the heart of everything we do, the impact we’re creating, and the journey we’re building together. It’s beautiful and meaningful 🤍
