Happy hands, clean water. 💛

A short while ago, our Homestead Helpers headed down to the dam to tackle some invasive poplars, fill bags and stack piles taller than us! 💪

Every bit removed helps the water breathe a little easier, keeps the area healthier and gives our local wildlife more room to thrive. 🐦🌱

A very special thank you to Rene, who never hesitates to get her feet wet when there's a chance to do something good for Benoni. 🙌💛

It's amazing what a few willing hands can achieve when we work together for our community, we appreciate you!

🎳💚 What a fantastic HH4B Bowls Day!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our HH4B Bowls Day Fundraiser at Benoni Lake Club.

It was wonderful to see friends, families, supporters and members of our community coming together for a day filled with fun, laughter, friendly competition and plenty of great memories!

Our B20 Cricket Bowls format certainly brought something a little different to the day and we hope everyone who took part enjoyed the experience, whether you were an experienced player or trying bowls for the very first time.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who supported this fundraiser. 💚 Your attendance, contributions and support help HH4B continue the important work we do within our community and towards maintaining and improving the spaces we all care about.

A special thank you to Benoni Lake Club, everyone who helped organise the event, our volunteers, supporters and every person who played a part in making the day possible.

Together, we can continue making a difference in Benoni. 🌿

The weekend is over… but the clean-up isn't. 🗑️💛

Weekends and public holidays are the best time to get out to our parks, dams and open spaces. But they often leave a bit more behind than good memories.

Our Helpers are out there picking up the bottles, cans and general litter scattered across our green spaces.

This is what we find. This is what we clean. And it's what we wish we didn't have to.

So please, if you bring it, take it home with you. If there's a bin, use it. If it's full, pop your rubbish in the car and bin it at home.

Let's leave our spaces as beautiful as we found them, or even better. 💚

On Friday, 5 June, the HH4B team spent the morning cleaning up the area outside Benoni Lake Club, one of our valued community partners.

From litter collection to general tidying, every small effort helps keep our shared spaces clean, welcoming, and enjoyable for everyone who visits. 🌿♻️

A big thank you to our volunteers for giving their time and energy, and to Benoni Lake Club for their continued support of community and environmental initiatives.

🌿 A Fresh Cut for the Dam 💚

Today the HH4B team rolled up their sleeves and headed down to Homestead Dam for a good old-fashioned grass cut and clean-up session and what a difference it made!

From overgrown patches to refreshed open spaces, every bit of effort helps keep this special place safer, cleaner, and more enjoyable for everyone who visits. It’s amazing what a few dedicated hands (and some serious elbow grease!) can achieve in just a few hours.

But beyond the work itself, days like this are about showing up for our community and our environment — taking pride in the spaces we share and protecting them for future generations.
