DJ FRESH LEFT 938 AFTER FINANCIAL WOES

Radio heavyweight and ebullient DJ Fresh has spoken out for the first time since his abrupt departure from 938.

Fresh has revealed his reasons for leaving the latter was because of payment issues. According to the Big Dawg, the staff went on for months without being paid and that didn't make financial sense to him to continue coming to do the show. Fresh also revealed he had to dig deep into his savings and money he makes from DJ gigs to cover some costs and staff.

Last week, commercial radio station Kaya 959 confirmed that Fresh will be joining the station and will take over the breakfast show in July and after a successful meeting with Kaya bosses, DJ Fresh will bring along his longtime partner in crime and friend Thato Mataboge who was previously on 938 with Fresh himself leaving Unathi still unpaid.

THIS IS WHAT I THINK HAPPENED:
Thato was on Metro FM as a technical producer and left the station to join Fresh on the new project at 938. Unfortunately the ship didn't sail. There ware payment issues and Fresh eventually took up an offer from Kaya 959. Now, being a good friend that he is and also knowing he convinced someone to quit his job at the SABC to join him at 938, it was only fair he negotiate a deal for him too and Kaya 959 mandarins agreed to take him in too. (That's just my opinion)

938 Radio is a community radio station in Midrand owned and managed by Kudzayi Tiribabi and Greg Maloka. The two radio maestros roped in DJ Fresh to be part of the station and according to Fresh, with his experience and expertise in the radio industry he decided to invest and have equity at 938 Radio making him a "shareholder" of some sort.....

MaMlambo, Gugu Gumede, is now fully qualified to act alongside the Queen of South African television, Sindi Dlathu.

After watching Gugu on The Polygamist, I am convinced.

She has reached that level.

The control.
The emotion.
The depth.
The way she carries a scene without forcing it.
Gugu is no longer just a familiar face from Uzalo. She has proven that she can stand next to the very best and still hold her own.
Sindi Dlathu is in a league of her own, no debate.
But Gugu Gumede has entered that serious actress conversation now.

Give these two women one powerful storyline and South Africa will not breathe.
