🐾 Rest peacefully, sweet Max ❤️
Some goodbyes are just too painful for words.
When Max came into our lives, we saw a beautiful boy who was suffering and desperately needed help. But what we also saw was something that touched our hearts deeply. We saw a dog who was truly loved.
Max’s humans loved him with all their hearts. Even though life has not always been easy, they never stopped caring for their precious boy. They did everything they could for him, and when they realized he needed help, they reached out because they loved him and wanted the best for him.
After veterinary assessment, we received the heartbreaking news that Max had bone cancer that was spreading rapidly. The kindest gift we could give this brave boy was to let him go peacefully, before he experienced any more pain and suffering.
Having to share this news with his family was one of the hardest moments. His human came with us to the vet, spoke to Max, comforted him, and stayed right beside him until he took his final breath. Max was not alone. He left this world surrounded by love, knowing that the person who loved him most was there with him until the very end.
To Max’s humans, thank you for showing us what true love looks like. Thank you for fighting for him, for reaching out for help, and for giving him the greatest gift you could give him, a peaceful goodbye.
A heartfelt thank you to Kirsty, Dr Jeremy Lamb, and the entire Aloe Veterinary Clinic, Ballito team for the incredible kindness, compassion and care you showed Max and his family during such a heartbreaking time. Thank you for helping him leave this world with dignity and surrounded by love.
