Our AWW students created animated versions of themselves, we even made a few for some of the AWW team. It’s been a blast seeing creativity, learning, and environmental action come together 🌍✨

🌍💚 Adaptation Activation Day | Adapt to Live Campaign 💚🌍

What a powerful and heartwarming day it was! Under the Power Shift Africa banner, Gendercc Southern Africa - Women For Climate Justice Network — in collaboration with Alexandra Water Warriors NPC,Be Free, and Art Collective — came together for the Adaptation Activation Day to take real action for our planet and our people.

At the Women for Peace Community Centre, which also serves as a daycare for toddlers, we planted five beautiful trees — symbols of growth, resilience, and the promise of a cleaner, greener future. 🌱🌳

The morning was filled with learning, laughter, and love, as the community came together to embrace the spirit of adaptation and environmental care. Each tree planted is a living reminder that small actions can create lasting change — improving air quality, offering shade, and nurturing hope for the little ones who will one day inherit this earth.

Let’s continue to — to protect, to educate, and to grow together for climate resilience and community wellbeing.
