Stakeholder Experience – Booysen Fire Victim Outreach (10 January 2025)

On 10 January 2025, Not Yet Uhuru Feeding Scheme visited the Booysen informal settlement following a devastating fire that displaced multiple families. The outreach program involved distributing food parcels, hygiene kits, and providing emotional support to victims.

Stakeholders, including community leaders, volunteers, and partner organizations, expressed heartfelt appreciation for the timely response. Beneficiaries were especially grateful for the empathy shown by our team during this traumatic time. Volunteers shared that the experience was deeply moving and reaffirmed their commitment to community service.

This outreach not only provided physical relief but also uplifted the spirits of the affected families. The collaboration between stakeholders showcased the power of compassion and unity in times of crisis.
