[SAPS SINOVILLE AND COMMUNITY PARTNERS UNITE TO PROMOTE CHILD PROTECTION WEEK]
Tshwane District, together with SAPS Sinoville, and dedicated community partners from the Sinoville policing precinct, successfully concluded a week-long Child Protection Week awareness campaign that was conducted from Monday, 1 June 2026, to Friday, 5 June 2026, across primary schools within the Sinoville policing precinct.
The initiative, themed "Be the Light," commenced at Doornpoort Primary School and continued throughout the week at Northridge Primary School, Wonderboom Laerskool, Magalieskruin Laerskool and Stephanus Roos Laerskool.
The campaign aimed to educate learners on child safety, personal responsibility, bullying prevention and the importance of creating a supportive environment for all children.
Learners were encouraged to embrace the theme by becoming a light in the lives of others and acting as everyday superheroes who stand up against bullying, support vulnerable classmates and demonstrate kindness, respect and compassion.
Through interactive presentations and displays, learners received valuable information on safety, protection and seeking help when faced with challenges.
SAPS Sinoville emphasises that the protection of children is a shared responsibility that extends beyond schools and law enforcement agencies.
Together, we can continue to be the light that guides, protects and inspires the next generation.
