• Incident Report:
- Information was received regarding a silver Mazda 2 with registration L # # , which was allegedly involved in the commission of a crime in Midrand, Johannesburg.
- The vehicle was observed travelling east along Sefako Makgatho Drive towards Mamelodi, occupied by two African female suspects and one African male driver.
- Members successfully intercepted and brought the vehicle to a stop at the corner of Sefako Makgatho Drive and Mountain Drive, Roodeplaat.
- The vehicle and its occupants were escorted to Sinoville SAPS for further investigation. Upon inspection, the vehicle was confiscated and subsequently transported to the Pretoria West vehicle pound for continued investigation.

*Incident Summary* :

A destress call was received at approximately 21:05 reporting a housebreaking in progress at ***Mooi Meisie Street, Danville. Armed Response Units were immediately dispatched to the scene.

*Details* :

Upon arrival, members conducted a search of the house and assessed the dameges to the property. Information was shortly after received that the suspects were last seen in Arend Street. Units responded swiftly to the area; however, no suspects were located at that stage.

Members returned to the original scene, where a community member provided information regarding a suspicious vehicle believed to have been used in the commission of the crime.

While conducting patrols, ProShield members identified a vehicle matching the provided description in Strachan Street, near the bridge. The vehicle was stopped successfully.

*During the stop:*

One suspect exited the vehicle and fled on foot into nearby field.
The driver was detained on scene without incident.

*SAPS Response:*

South African Police Service (Pretoria West) responded promptly, took control of the scene, and assumed further investigation.

*Outcome* :

* One suspect fled the scene on foot
* One suspect detained and handed over to SAPS. Further investigation underway to verify the nationality of the foreign person of interest.
* Vehicle seized for further investigation

*Conclusion* :

The rapid response and coordination between ProShield members, community members, and SAPS resulted in the successful detention of one possible suspect and recovery of a vehicle possibly linked to the incident.

*Incident Summary* :

At approximately 06:05 on 24 April 2026, Proshield Tactical Unit received a report of a break-in in progress at Millennium Park, situated on Van der Hoff Road.

Upon arrival, it was confirmed that two Proshield & NPD security officers, together with one NPJ worker, had already apprehended one of three suspects found on the premises. The remaining two suspects fled the scene prior to the arrival of Tactical Units.

Proshield Tactical members immediately secured the area and conducted a systematic search of the premises.

During the search, copper piping and copper cable were recovered, which had been hidden by the suspects in an attempt to remove it from the
property.

South African Police Service (Hercules) responded to the scene. The apprehended suspect was formally arrested for:

Trespassing
Suspect handed over without injuries

◼️ *REPORT:*

Information was received regarding a bank following Robbery that occurred on 21/04/2026 with PTA North CAS 299/04/2026. The victim was followed and robbed by 3 armed suspects driving a white Toyota urban cruiser.

Information from CCTV footage was analyzed and the teams identified the said vehicle that was used in the commission of the crime.

Above members recieved information from a confidential informant that the group was out in the Midrand area to scout for their next victim.

Members deployed in the Midrand area close to Waterfall Corner shopping centre where the vehicle was spotted driving on Woodmead Drive towards Woodmead shopping centre. The vehicle was fitted with false plates and an attempt to stop vehicle was executed.

The suspects immediately started to flee from members trying to intercept the vehicle. A high speed chase ensued where the suspects shot at the members in persuit. Members returned fire and the high speed chase ended in Tembisa with one suspect fatally wounded and the second sustained injury due to a gunshot wound and was transported to hospital. A third suspect jumped out of the vehicle and managed to escape.

During the patrol, a community member informed officers that the suspect was still inside the yard of a nearby property. Proshield Tactical Unit members proceeded to search the premises and successfully located the suspect hiding within the yard.

The suspect was apprehended without incident.

*Incident Summary*

During the early hours of 16 April 2026, Proshield Tactical Units were conducting proactive crime prevention patrols in the Claremont area.

While patrolling Claremont Street, two individuals were observed moving a large metal object under suspicious circumstances. Proshield units stopped to investigate, at which point one suspect fled into a nearby property.

This behaviour raised immediate suspicion and warranted further investigation. The second individual was called out from the property and, upon questioning, admitted to the unauthorized removal of critical infrastructure.

A third suspect was subsequently identified, linked to the incident, and also confessed to involvement.

Hercules SAPS was immediately contacted and responded to the scene. All three suspects were handed over to SAPS for further processing.

* Case opened: Unauthorized and unlawful removal of critical infrastructure
* Suspects transported to Hercules SAPS for detention and processing
* Further investigation by Hercules SAPS revealed that one of the suspects has a suspended sentence, which may impact ongoing legal proceedings.

◼️ REPORT:

On 2 April 2026, a well-known individual in the emergency and response community was murdered in a guesthouse in the Brooklyn area.

An investigation started in the Brooklyn area at the guesthouse, where five suspects were identified as having committed the murder. Members immediately followed up on the information at hand.

Members used the gathered information and established that the group is primarily from the KZN region. After a few days of investigation, the team discovered that the group had travelled back to Durban three days after the crime was committed. Team members mobilised and deployed to Durban, KZN. En route to Durban, new information was received that the group was on route back to Johannesburg.

Using the information at hand, the team deployed in the Protea Glen area, where an address was identified that was previously used by the group. Members executed a well-organised breach and extraction operation at the said address.

Upon entry, members found four African males inside the house. All four males have been positively identified as the group involved in the Brooklyn murder (CAS 60/04/2026). All suspects were detained without injury.
