Taiz – Ash Shamaytayn
The Director General of Ash Shamaytayn District in Taiz Governorate, Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Shaibani, met with Amatullah Abdullah, a member of the UNHCR Global IDP Advisory Group and representative of the "For Her" initiative. The meeting was coordinated with the Director of the Executive Unit, Abu Mashaal Asam Al-Mashraqi, and attended by Noura Jamal Al-Dabaee, camp site focal point in Ash Shamaytayn and member of the "For Her" initiative, to discuss joint coordination mechanisms for supporting children's education in displacement camps.
The meeting focused on exploring avenues of cooperation and expanding resource-mobilization efforts to identify and register out-of-school children and dropouts, as well as pinpointing vulnerable groups unable to access education. This initiative aims to build a comprehensive database to submit to donors, relevant humanitarian organizations, and the private sector, securing the necessary funding and interventions to reintegrate these children into schools.

He affirmed the local authority’s commitment to supporting youth and community initiatives that safeguard the rights of the most vulnerable groups—first and foremost, the right of children to access education and build their futures.
