Another batch of Entrepreyouths were granted livelihood assistance this year through the Paranas Entrepreyouth Program.

After the submission of business proposals, panel interviews, and deliberations, 16 outstanding young Paranasnons were awarded their grants during the 37th Adlaw Han Paranas Celebration held on November 6, 2025, in Poblacion 6, Paranas, Samar.

The grants were personally handed over by Municipal Mayor Elvira Babalcon, together with Municipal Vice Mayor Atty. Eunice Babalcon and the Sangguniang Bayan Members.

The Local Government Unit of Paranas, through the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO), conducted the evaluation and verification of documents for the 2025 Paranas Youth Achievers Awards on October 30, 2025, at the Municipal Conference Room.

The panel of evaluators was composed of Ms. Girly Mae Abantao, Mr. Jan Karlo Quilapio, and Municipal Administrator Mae Derby Babalcon.

The evaluation covered two major categories: Outstanding Youth Organization, with four entries, and Outstanding Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Council, with eight entries. The assessment process aimed to identify and recognize youth organizations and SK councils that have demonstrated exemplary performance in governance, community service, leadership, and youth empowerment initiatives.

According to the LYDO, Carlito Gabon, the Youth Achievers Awards serve as a platform to honor the significant contributions of young leaders and organizations whose programs have positively impacted their communities. The activity likewise underscores the LGU’s continued commitment to nurturing youth participation in local development.

The 2025 Paranas Youth Achievers Awards will formally be held on November 6, 2025, as one of the major highlights of the Adlaw han Paranas Celebration.

This move aligns with the Department of the Interior and Local Government’s (DILG) mandate to uphold good governance and ensure that public funds are managed responsibly.

By making these records publicly available online, we aim to strengthen trust between the youth council and the community, encourage civic participation, and inspire responsible leadership among the youth. This is not just a compliance effort — it’s a commitment to serve with integrity and openness.
