Successful Kidney Stone Removal Surgery at the Yemen Red Crescent Society – Dhamar Branch Medical Center
In a new medical achievement, the medical team at the Yemen Red Crescent Society (YRCS) – Dhamar Branch Medical Center successfully performed a procedure to remove a kidney stone from the renal pelvis for the first time at the center. The operation was successfully completed.
The procedure was performed by Dr. Ali Al-Shabibi, a consultant in urological surgery and endoscopy, as part of the ongoing expansion of the specialized medical services and surgical procedures provided by the Medical Center.
This achievement is part of the range of surgical procedures offered by the Medical Center, in addition to several other surgeries, including hernia repair, hemorrhoid surgery, gallbladder surgery, and appendectomies. These procedures are performed under the supervision of Dr. Radwan Al-Shammari, a consultant in general and oncological surgery, with the participation of Dr. Sahar Al-Awsh, a specialist in general surgery.
The Medical Center also provides a range of gynecological surgeries, including hysterectomies, removal of uterine fibroids, removal of ovarian cysts, and other ovarian procedures, as part of its specialized medical services. These procedures are performed by Dr. Sahar Al-Awsh.
This comes as part of the efforts of the Yemen Red Crescent Society – Dhamar Branch to expand the scope of medical and specialized services provided by the Medical Center and strengthen its capacity to deliver comprehensive healthcare and surgical services to the community.
