1. About the Organization

Maitri Charitable Trust was established in 2005 in Dombivli, Maharashtra, and is a registered Public Charitable Trust. The organization is dedicated to the dignity, care, and overall well-being of senior citizens and vulnerable individuals.

The Trust operates the “Maitri Old Age Home & Day Care Centre”, which provides shelter, medical supervision, nursing care, nutritious meals, and emotional support to destitute, homeless, and dependent elderly individuals.

Specialized care is provided for senior citizens suffering from:

Dementia

Alzheimer’s disease

Parkinson’s disease

Mental health-related conditions

Bedridden and fully dependent patients

3. Current Services & Activities

Currently, the Maitri Old Age Home provides shelter and care to approximately 30–35 senior citizens.

Facilities Available:

Emotional and psychological support

Recreational activities (Bhajan, music, yoga, etc.)

मैत्री चॅरिटेबल ट्रस्टची स्थापना सन 2005 मध्ये डोंबिवली, महाराष्ट्र येथे झाली असून हा एक नोंदणीकृत सार्वजनिक धर्मादाय ट्रस्ट आहे. हा ट्रस्ट ज्येष्ठ नागरिक आणि गरजू व वंचित व्यक्तींच्या सन्मान, काळजी आणि सर्वांगीण कल्याणासाठी कार्यरत आहे. ट्रस्टतर्फे “वृद्धाश्रम व डे केअर सेंटर (वृधालय)” चालविण्यात येते, जिथे आजारी व खाटेवर असलेल्या ज्येष्ठांना तसेच डिमेन्शिया, अल्झायमर, पार्किन्सन आणि मानसिक आजारांनी ग्रस्त रुग्णांना वैद्यकीय देखरेख, नर्सिंग सेवा, पौष्टिक आहार, भावनिक आधार आणि आयुष्यभर काळजी दिली जाते.

हा ट्रस्ट बॉम्बे पब्लिक ट्रस्ट अ‍ॅक्ट, 1950 अंतर्गत नोंदणीकृत (नोंदणी क्र. E-3978/ठाणे) असून त्याच्याकडे वैध पॅन आहे. तसेच ट्रस्टची नोंदणी नीति आयोगाच्या DARPAN पोर्टलवर करण्यात आली आहे आणि भारत सरकारच्या कॉर्पोरेट व्यवहार मंत्रालयाकडून CSR-1 मान्यता प्राप्त आहे. ट्रस्टला मिळणाऱ्या देणग्यांवर आयकर कायद्याच्या कलम 80G अंतर्गत कर सवलत उपलब्ध आहे.

डॉ. श्रीमती मालिनी जगदीश नाडकर्णी यांच्या नेतृत्वाखाली स्थापन झालेल्या या ट्रस्टतर्फे वैद्यकीय शिबिरे, नेत्रतपासणी शिबिरे, जनजागृती कार्यक्रम, केअरगिव्हर सपोर्ट उपक्रम आणि विविध समाजोपयोगी उपक्रम राबवले जातात. “शेवटच्या श्वासापर्यंत सन्मान आणि मायेची सेवा” हा ट्रस्टचा मुख्य ध्यास आहे.

महोदय,

मी डॉ. श्रीमती मालिनी जगदीश नाडकर्णी, संस्थापक-अध्यक्ष मैत्री चॅरिटेबल ट्रस्ट, डोंबिवली (पूर्व), ठाणे. आमचा ट्रस्ट गेली अनेक वर्षे म्हणजे सन 2005 पासुन ज्येष्ठ नागरिक व निराधार व्यक्तींच्या सेवेसाठी कार्यरत आहे.

मैत्री चॅरिटेबल ट्रस्ट तर्फे “मैत्री वृद्धसेवा केंद्र चालविण्यात येत असून येथे निराधार व गरजू ज्येष्ठ नागरिकांना निवारा, अन्न, वैद्यकीय सेवा, नर्सिंग केअर ,योगा ,आणि भावनिक आधार दिला जातो. विशेषतः डिमेन्शिया, अल्झायमर, पार्किन्सन तसेच मानसिक आरोग्याशी संबंधित आजारांनी त्रस्त असलेल्या वृद्धांची येथे विशेष काळजी घेतली जाते.

सध्या आमच्या वृद्धाश्रमात सुमारे ३० स्त्री-पुरुष ज्येष्ठ नागरिक राहत असून त्यांच्या राहण्याची, जेवणाची आणि वैद्यकीय उपचारांची व्यवस्था शक्य तितकी मोफत करण्यात येते. तसेच रस्त्यावर असाहाय्य अवस्थेत सापडणाऱ्या अनाथ व आजारी व्यक्तींनाही संस्थेत दाखल करून त्यांची सेवा केली जाते.

सदर वृद्धाश्रम सध्या भाडेतत्त्वावरील जागेत चालविला जात आहे. देणग्या व उपलब्ध निधी अपुरा पडत असल्यामुळे संस्थेचा विस्तार व सुविधा वाढविणे अत्यंत कठीण होत आहे. विद्यमान जागेच्या विकासासाठी आर्थिक अनुदान मंजूर करणे याबाबत काही उपाययोजना सहानुभूतीपूर्वक विचार करावा, ही नम्र विनंती.

वृद्धाश्रम म्हणजे केवळ निवारा देणे एवढेच नसून, वृद्धांना सन्मानपूर्वक, सुरक्षित आणि आनंदी वातावरणात जीवन जगता यावे यासाठी योगा, संगीत, भजन, कीर्तन, मनोरंजन व आरोग्यविषयक उपक्रम राबविणेही तितकेच आवश्यक आहे. शासनाकडून मिळणाऱ्या सहकार्यामुळे या सर्व सुविधा अधिक प्रभावीपणे उपलब्ध करून देता येतील.

आपल्या सहकार्यामुळे अनेक निराधार ज्येष्ठ नागरिकांना सन्मानाने व सुरक्षिततेने जीवन जगण्याची संधी मिळेल, अशी आम्हाला आशा आहे.
