“When you decide to do something, you have to do it a thousand percent.”

We're featuring poetry from Maria James Thiaw, LEAD PA's dedicated Histiographer, (2023-2025) who captured the journeys of alumni she had the pleasure of interviewing. Each poem featured is accompanied by snippets from the Histiography of alumni which inspired it.

Keep on Moving, reflects on the setbacks on the road of leadership; inspired by her time with Fred Faylona.

FOREIGN POLICY FOR THE PEOPLE: National Security Training for Progressive Leaders

From Iran-flation to immigration, every community experiences the impact of U.S. foreign policy.

LEAD PA Institute is partnering with Win Without War Education Fund , who will be hosting an educational series empowering progressive leaders at the state, city, and community level to be able to explain what’s going on—and what you’re going to do about it. 💪

📍 Pittsburgh: August 8 at 11AM-1PM
📍 Harrisburg: August 10 at 6-8PM
📍 Philadelphia: August 15 at 11AM-1PM

Venue location disclosed via email after acceptance. 🍱 Lunch or dinner will be provided!
