DyMuNDz is a nonprofit mentorship organization servicing Washington D.C and the surrounding areas. The services offered by DyMuNDz will be self-empowerment and enrichment programs administered by volunteers and mentors of the organization. Mentors will also be provided to participants in the program, to assist with personal development and growth. The goal of the organization is to foster a commi
tment between mentors and mentees that will promote social skills, better interpersonal skills, and push participants to reach their full potential in life. DyMuNDz will strive to place our mentees on the path to adulthood with knowledge and example-setting wisdom to give them a proper understanding of the life they choose to live. Poverty, destructive habits, and lack of interest in the public school setting are all contributing factors to low graduation rates, and high crime rates of our youth. These factors also keep young adults from leading purposeful lives. DyMuNDz is an organization founded as a direct attempt to target those falling through the cracks, and those already left behind. We will seek out young adults that find it difficult to transition into adulthood and provide them with direct support, and intensive programs. The male and female focus will differ slightly during each phase of the program, but the end goal will remain the same which is to empower and enhance young adults to make positive changes and ultimately become a producer, and not a product, of their environment.
