AEI Executive Council - University of Oklahoma The AEI Executive Council is a group of six OU students passionate about democracy, free enterprise, and those at the periphery of our society.

We work to organize and promote these issues and foster the competition of ideas at OU.

General information

The American Enterprise Institute in Washington, DC, is home to some of America’s most renowned economists, legal scholars, political scientists, and foreign policy experts. A nonpartisan public policy research organization, AEI is dedicated to preserving and strengthening the foundations of a free society through independent thinking, open debate, and reasoned argument. It does this in part by providing educational and career development opportunities to the next generation of leaders through its Executive Council Program. The OU Executive Student Council works to Promote substantive conversations about public policy on campus by hosting events and activities throughout the year. Examples include: lectures or discussions with AEI scholars or local professors; private dinners with scholars, business professionals, or government officials; student debates; reading groups; and film and debate viewings
