A special piece of BWS history is back on display! đź’™

After years of fading, our portrait of Bishop John T. Walker has been carefully restored, color corrected, and beautifully reframed.

A special thank you to Old Town Editions for restoring the photograph, Frame Savvy for the beautiful framing, and our Communications Manager for seeing this project through from start to finish.

We’re so glad to have this important piece of Bishop Walker School history preserved for years to come.

Today, our 4th and 5th graders took learning beyond the classroom on a Langston Hughes-inspired walking tour through D.C.!

Led by Mr. Ross alongside students from Gonzaga, the boys explored historic sites connected to Langston Hughes, visited the Thurgood Marshall Center, and stopped by the home where Hughes spent part of his childhood. Along the way, our scholars worked with Gonzaga students to write poems about their own favorite places and shared their work with the group.đź“–
