Read Before & After Read Before & After 's mission is to improve childhood literacy.

Read Before & After’s mission is to improve childhood literacy through a multi-pronged approach:
I. Placing as many books as possible into pre-school children’s hands
RB&A hosts regular book drives and an annual fund-raising gala
II. Using social media to encourage children to take an active role in the reading process
RB&A posts a frequent online “Jack’s Pick” book, where a young boy shares what

his chosen book means to him and why other children may enjoy it
III. Promoting the creation of after-school reading clubs
RB&A provides books to districts that lack budgets for extracurricular books
If children cannot learn to read properly at a young age, the odds are heavily stacked against them in succeeding in any academic endeavor.
