Good Morning everyone! You may remember my post from a few weeks ago, about how we are renovating my cargo/camper trailer into an animal rescue/evacuation trailer. We have been hard at work on it, trying to get it done before hurricane season starts. This was my camper trailer (see pictures in comments), but I don't use it anymore, so I've donated it for the animals. The recent wildfires made me realize that between wildfires and hurricanes, we really need an evacuation trailer for the cats and dogs. So far, we've done the exterior work, like new tires, minor body work, and moving it to a "get up and go" position for quick getaways. We still need to redo the inside, with crates, etc. We also need a wire partition built, so the cats can be loose on one side, and the dogs on the other. We will need to hire someone to build the partition, and also buy crates and other supplies. The total cost for this project will be around $800.00. I will make this a donation post, if anyone would like to help. Thank you, and stay tuned for our progress! 🙂

Hi everyone. I'm sad to report that our sweet,14 year old feral boy Butters has passed away. He died peacefully in his sleep, warm and comfortable in his bed in the Catty Shack. He was in end stage renal failure, so we knew that his time was limited.
Butters is one of the "Peggy's Kitchen" ferals that we trapped way back in 2012, in Edgewater, Florida. The others from that group are still with us, but all have serious health issues.
We would like to thank Butters' long time sponsor Laura Rae , for aways taking care of him, and for everything else she does for these babies. She is a very special friend to all of the kitties here.
Rest in Peace, sweet Butters. We will never forget you. 💔

Our sweet Muse. Her bloodwork results came back, and now we're thinking she may have pneumonia. She has been on antibiotics for two days now, and she ate on her own tonight! I've been syringe feeding her for days, which she hates, so this is a great sign! She's still very sick, but I am now cautiously optimistic. 🙂
