ACCEPTANCE SPEECH
PRESENTED BY *AKPARAWA UNYIME EBONG UDO ON THE ASSUMPTION OF OFFICE AS MBIABONG UKAN YOUTHS ASSOCIATION'S NATIONAL PRESIDENT.*
*Date: Sunday 6TH JULY 2025.*
MY Fellow Youths of MBIABONG UKAN, this is another significant milestone in our community journey for development, unity and love.
We all persevered and made our gentle and loud voices heard.
I write this before you, humbled and honored to accept the mandate to lead our great Association.
I acknowledged all our indifference we faced and our collective efforts that helped us tackled them with zeal and determination.
To those who protested and expressed their concerns, you won. Your voices are valid, and your participation is crucial to our Youth association.
Am very greatful to the leadership of the home base part of the association ably led by *Akparawa Sunday Ufia and his rugged Vice Akparawa Samuel Obot and the secretary, Akparawa Anietie Ime Essien* for the positive initiative that led to the restoration of peace in the association. And to all who supported the reconciliation and worked tirelessly to ensure its success, I thank you. Your dedication resilience and support are the backbone of our success and that of Mbiabong Ukan Youth Association.
*Let me specially thank the anchor of that powerful reconciliation team, my very own senior brother, Akparawa Nsikak UdoEkpo Nsikak for your tremendous efforts, encouragement and determination which led to the success of the reconciliation process. To all members of the team; IMO EKANEM, Aniefiok Ekpat, Ubong Kingston Ekanem, Ima Obong IGWE, Solomon IGWE, James Ikpembe, Ubon Ekanem, Jeremiah Johnson, Clement AKPAN, EYAKENO EFFIONG ABIA, NSIDIBE JOHNSON, Abasikponke who stood to support the process, I love you all.*
Your commitment to continuing staying and bringing in great positive ideas and supports is commendable.
To those who relinquished their political positions for peace to set it, I value your level of maturity;
*Friday Edem eshiet, Christopher Udo, Montaro AKPAN, NSIDIBE EDET EFFIONG, IMO EDET SUNDAY, Geoffrey Godfrey and others.*
We are here not as victors nor vanquishers, but as one people, united in our quest for a better Mbiabong UKAN.
Let us put aside our differences and work together to restore unity development and peace. Let us build a community where every citizen have a voice, a chance, and benefit for associating.
My fellow members of our community association, I want to thank each and every one of you who believe in peace, respect, love and unity. Your engagement and enthusiasm are what make our community strong.
To my fellow executives, the Vice president, Akparawa Solomon AKPAN, I put forth this speech on your behave too, I look forward to working with each of you to address the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. Together, we will strive to make our community an even better place for all members.
This association was formed on a promise to listen, to lead with transparency and accountability for true development and to put the needs of our community first.
I pledge to uphold these values every day, and to work tirelessly on your behalf.
We have much work to do:
* Amendment and upgrading of the ASSOCIATION'S constitution.
* BOT amendment.
* Inclusion.
* Community youth mobilization and unification.
* and many others.
I am confident that together, we can achieve great things.
Thank you again for this privilege. Let us move forward with unity, purpose and a shared commitment to our community development.
