...creating a legacy for Handlers and their K9 partners.
The Ohio Police K9 Memorial, located in the Batavia Community Park pays tribute to the four-legged officers who routinely put their lives in jeopardy for little more than a pat on the head. Not only does it honor those K9s that have died in the line of duty, but also those that have retired, passed away or are still serving their communities. "This is creating a legacy for Handlers and their K9 partners."- Officer Craig Heintzelman, OPKM President and Handler of K9 Gator and K9 Paisley.
Crews from multiple agencies are working long days as part of security for the First Four at UD Arena. The Bomb Squad and explosive detection K9s have been doing sweeps of the arena again this morning.
