The deadline for our National School Climate Survey has been extended to Oct 7 midnight PT, September 30!

If you’re LGBTQIA2S+ and 13+ and attended grades K-12 in the U.S. during the 2025–26 school year, there is still time to share your experience in schools before the survey closes.

Responses are anonymous and help us advocate for safer and more affirming schools.

If you’re an adult or ineligible for the survey, share this post with someone who is. Tag someone in the comments who you think could help improve schools for LGBTQIA+ youth!

Harassment and discrimination against LGBTQ2S+ people is prohibited by both federal law and the U.S. Constitution. Despite this, many LGBTQ2S+ students and educators still experience harassment and discrimination every day.

We have updated our Know Your Rights resource for LGBTQ+ students to reflect recent changes in federal protections like Title IX (9), and to make sense of the complex laws that can seem daunting to try to unpack by yourself.

Whether you're joining us for the first time or returning to familiar faces, there's a place for you here. Together, we'll build connections, create lasting memories, and remind one another that home isn't just a place—it's the people who make you feel like you belong.

Applications for our 2026-2027 National Student Council cohort are open until August 21st!

The NSC is a platform for LGBTQ+ youth to cultivate their leadership potential, amplify their voices, and actively contribute to creating more inclusive and equitable environments for all students.

The NSC plays a pivotal role in providing feedback on Glisten’s programs, resources, and overall strategy. As youth representatives, they offer their unique perspectives and insights, ensuring that Glosten's initiatives remain relevant and impactful. NSC members are passionate about social justice and actively seek to deepen their knowledge and practice around racial justice, gender justice, and disability justice.

Eligibility: All current U.S. LGBTQ+ and allied high school students in grades 9–12 are eligible to apply for the National Student Council.
