As Pride Month comes to a close, the work continues.

LGBTQ+ students are still navigating discrimination, censorship, bullying, and environments where feeling safe at school is not guaranteed. That’s why Glisten’s advocacy, educator resources, student programs, and community support continue long after June ends.

Thank you to those who joined us for Pride Above the Park last week! We had a tremendous time celebrating Pride and our great community with our friends at Deutsche Bank. The choir and orchestra took the event to new musical heights, and reminded us of our important roots in NYC with their show stopping Broadway songs!

The beautiful evening overlooking Central Park was the perfect way to come together and remember that LGBTQ+ young people across the country need our support now more than ever to have safe, inclusive spaces where they can learn and grow. A big thank you to our partners, Deutsche Bank, Hollister, NBA and WNBA, TransLash, Room & Board, and the NFL, who made this event and our work with young people possible.

We’re hearing from LGBTQIA2S+ students across the country through the National School Climate Survey—but we want to hear from students whose voices are often missing from research. Use your voice to help us make recommendations and resources for LGBTQ+ students.

One week until Pride Above the Park 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️✨and we’re proud to announce Tony Award-winner and star of Glee, Alex Newell, will be performing at the event!

Next Wednesday, our community comes together in NYC for a night of Pride, celebration, and collective support for LGBTQ+ youth nationwide.

Join us for an evening filled with rooftop views, entertainment, cocktails, community connection, and a shared commitment to creating safer and more inclusive K-12 schools.

At a time when LGBTQ+ young people continue to face growing challenges, showing up matters and this night is all about showing up for each other.

Congratulations to the winners of our student-led 2026 Rainbow Writes contest!

This year’s theme is Insiders. It invites LGBTQ+ young writers to tell stories from the inside, exploring the places, relationships, languages, and moments where they feel seen. Rather than focusing on queerness as something defined by exclusion or otherness, youth have the power to reclaim the idea of being a part of something larger, defining what being an “insider” means for youth and their communities.
