Florida Veterans Support Line By calling the Florida Veterans Support Line at 1-844-MYFLVET (693-5838) veterans in Florida are able to talk with a fellow veteran who truly understands

The Florida Veterans Support Line launched officially on October 28, 2014. During the first year of operations, the MYFLVET team spoke with over 1,100 callers seeking help and support. The team spoke with veterans and their family members about issues relating to financial needs, legal assistance, mental health concerns, substance abuse, suicidal thoughts, and other concerns. Each caller received

personalized interventions based on their needs. Veteran Peer Specialists conduct a structured interview to help determine which avenues to seek for assistance. Over 600 callers were connected with Care Coordination Services for additional follow-up contact. During these follow-up calls, Care Coordinators continue to assess needs and barriers while providing advocacy as needed. In some cases, this means contacting service providers on the client's behalf or assisting with scheduling appointments. Care Coordination cases will remain open until the client is engaged in services. Call today to receive:
- Comprehensive information & referral to VA-funded and community-based services.
- Assistance and support provided by a peer who has experienced the transition from military back to civilian life.
- Care Coordination services including follow-up contact, system navigation, advocacy, and ongoing support.
