Volunteer Leadership Opportunity: Northern Lights Little Sister Program Director💞✨

The Miss Minnesota Organization is seeking an enthusiastic, organized and compassionate volunteer to serve as the Northern Lights Little Sister Program Director. The Director serves on the Leadership team and reports to the State Executive Director and the Board of Directors.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage registration and participant information for all Little Sisters
• Promote registration openings and available opportunities through social media
• Create and distribute a detailed competition-week itinerary for parents and participants
• Recruit and supervise two to three assistants for Little Sister events and production nights
• Plan and manage one or two annual fundraisers, such as a Princess Tea, Daddy-Daughter Dance or online People’s Choice fundraiser
• Manage group events and communications during state competition week
• Create opportunities for Little Sisters to participate in events both with and without their assigned delegates during Miss Minnesota competition week
• Attend delegate orientation and state competition week activities

The success of the Northern Lights Little Sister Program depends greatly on the Director’s leadership, creativity, recruitment efforts and ability to build a strong volunteer team. This is a meaningful opportunity for someone who enjoys mentoring young girls, planning special events and helping participants develop confidence and lasting memories.

We proudly welcome Eryn LaLonde as our new Co-Executive Director! Eryn’s Miss America journey began in high school, ultimately earning her over $250,000 in scholarships and an Executive Masters of healthcare Administration. After two years serving as our Delegate Liaison and Social Media Director, Eryn will leverage her marketing expertise to expand our reach, secure sponsors, and empower every delegate that enters our program.

Please congratulate Debbie Grill, our new State Field Director! Debbie brings 18+ years of leadership and HR experience. Known for her encouraging nature, she is dedicated to supporting our local organizations and titleholders. Many of you also know her as the proud mother of our forever Miss Minnesota’s Teen 2020-21, Bella Grill.

𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐭𝐚 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫:
With Debbie’s transition, we are actively seeking a new Minnesota Northern Lights Director by October 1st. Our Little Sisters program is growing rapidly, with 39 participants last year. We highly recommend the next director build a team of 2-3 volunteers to support this wonderful expansion. A Jotform application is coming soon.

Day-to-day operations and upcoming events will continue smoothly during this transition. We are incredibly excited about the future of the Miss Minnesota program and thank you for your continued support!
