Body language is a powerful communication tool in the classroom.
It often speaks louder than words and can influence students’ behavior, engagement, and respect.

1. Maintain Eye Contact:
Make regular eye contact with students to show attention, confidence, and connection. It helps keep students focused and involved.

2. Use Open and Approachable Posture:
Stand upright, avoid folded arms, and face the class. Open posture signals confidence and encourages participation.

3. Move Around the Classroom:
Walk between rows and change positions. This keeps students attentive and reduces off-task behavior without speaking.

4. Use Facial Expressions Effectively:
Smile to create a friendly environment. Use serious expressions when needed to signal expectations without shouting.

5. Use Gestures to Support Teaching:
Hand movements can emphasize key points, give directions, or signal silence. Clear gestures improve understanding.

6. Control Personal Space:
Stand closer to distracted students to redirect behavior quietly. Proximity is a powerful non-verbal tool.

7. Stay Calm and Composed:
Avoid aggressive movements or pointing angrily. Calm body language maintains authority and respect.
Positive body language strengthens communication, builds relationships, and helps manage the classroom effectively—often without saying a word.

🌸 Phagwa Celebrations at Our KPA Schools 🌸

Our two schools — the Siparia Road KPA School and the Agostini Settlement KPA School — recently came alive with colour and joy as students celebrated the beautiful festival of Phagwa.

The children enjoyed the festive spirit by playing with abeer and coloured powder, sharing laughter and happiness with their friends and teachers. It was a wonderful sight to see the bright colours symbolizing joy, unity, and togetherness among our students.

The Kabir Panth Association of Trinidad and Tobago is happy to see our schools keeping this joyful tradition alive and creating special memories for the children.
