I headed over to the Castle this morning to meet 2-year-old Lynndi Kahler, who was recently diagnosed with neuroblastoma cancer.
Unfortunately, she was sleeping!
This little girl definitely pulled at the heart strings when I saw her sleeping! What a little cutie pie!
She has masses in her abdominal area, kidneys and liver and bone marrow. She's currently undergoing treatment at the Sanford Children's Hospital in Sioux Falls.
A little bit about the cancer
Neuroblastoma is a childhood cancer that begins in immature nerve cells (neuroblasts), most often in the adrenal glands, and primarily affects children under age 5. It can also arise in the neck, chest, abdomen, or spine and may spread to bone marrow, bones, lymph nodes, liver, skin, or brain.
The good news is it's treatable and the younger they are the better!
She has many treatments ahead and will be getting the best care possible!
I gave Brandon and Katie the whole story of what I do and all the people I've helped! It has been a calling that I didn't know would fulfill so much until I started doing it!
SDBB Foundation donated $2,000! They were so very thankful!
Just a little odd that some random dude walks into your daughter's room and hands you a check? What? 😂
I hope I made your day Katie and Brandon and also ease some of the financial burden!
Thank you again to everyone from the South Dakota BIG Bucks Community who continues to help our mission!
