Man Circles Block Five Times After Trying to Lure 15-Year-Old Girl Into SUV at Chicago Bus Stop Police Say

CHICAGO — September 10, 2026 — Chicago police are searching for a man accused of trying to lure a 15-year-old girl into his SUV and then circling the block five times after she refused to get inside while waiting at a bus stop in Portage Park Wednesday afternoon.

Chicago Police Department Area Five Detectives issued a community alert following the reported attempted child luring in the 16th District (Jefferson Park).

Police said the 15-year-old girl was waiting at a bus stop in the 6400 block of W. Irving Park Rd. at approximately 4:20 p.m. Sept. 10 when a black Cadillac SUV driven by an unknown man approximately 20 to 30 years old pulled alongside her.

Driver allegedly gestured for the girl to enter his vehicle.

Girl refused and the vehicle left, but police said the SUV subsequently circled the block five times before leaving in an unknown direction.

Police described the wanted man as a bald White male with blue eyes and forearm tattoos, approximately 20 to 30 years old. He was reportedly wearing a button-down shirt.

CPD released surveillance images of the black Cadillac SUV believed to have been involved.
