We are a nonprofit, local organization dedicated to raising awareness about and protecting Nonconnah Creek, a waterway that runs through southern Memphis, TN and eventually drains into the Mississippi River.

Sorry for the late notice. Join us tonight for our monthly meeting. Instead of meeting on campus at U of M we will be right around the corner at Jason's Deli at Poplar and Highland at 7pm for anyone who is able to come out. -Ryan Pudwell

Kick off your 4th of July with a visit to the creek. We will be at the Lakeview section of the creek this Saturday July 4th at 8am. We'll spend some time seeing what wildlife is around and if you feel like hanging out in the sun rock hounding is an option too. Plan for the heat, sun, bugs, and maybe a few thorns. As usual long pants and close-toed shoes are recommended. Water, sunscreen, binoculars, a camera, and bug spray might be some items you should consider bringing along.

Join us tomorrow evening (6/30/26) for a twilight walk at the Nonconnah Greenbelt Park. We will meet at 7pm at the parking area on Forest Hill Irene just north of 385. This walk is pretty easy, but there are a few spots where you might experience mud and thorns along the way. Long pants and closed-toe shoes are recommended. A camera, water, and bug spray are a few other items you may want to bring along. A bag might be handy if you plan to do some rockhounding.

In case you were wondering, you can find groundhogs along Nonconnah Creek. This one was spotted today in the Lenox Park area just east of Kirby Rd.

Join us this Sunday afternoon for a visit to Nonconnah Creek at Halle Stadium. Park in between the football and baseball fields. We will meet at 1:30pm under the trees to the right of the baseball fields (when you are facing them from the parking lot). There is poison ivy and some thorns along the trail so long pants and close-toed shoes are recommended. With regards to footwear either boots or shoes that you don't mind getting wet are the suggested. After a walking down to the creek people will have the option to explore the gravel bars or continue to the other side of the creek to check out plants and other wildlife.

Join us this coming Saturday for a Wetland Clean-up in SE Shelby County. We will be starting at 9am. If you are joining us please be sure to wear long pants and closed-toe shoes.

Join us on Saturday the 28th for our March Field Trip. We will be meeting at the Nonconnah Greenbelt Park on Forest Hill Irene just north of Hwy 385 at 10am. We will take some time to explore and see what plants and wildlife we can find along the way. Long pants and closed-toe shoes recommended.
