Major flooding has hit Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai, and our campus is now being affected. The rising waters are threatening to flood the dormitories. We’re hoping and praying that the water levels go down soon.

Please keep the families who have already lost so much in your thoughts and prayers during this time.

New school year is starting in Thailand which means new kids entering at Hope House. Please pray for the hearts of these children as they adjust to life at Hope House. Pray for the staff that they will have wisdom on how to deal with the ones that are having a harder time adjusting. Sometimes just sitting and holding them is enough for today

this year, we had the kids make cookies, which is always one of our favorite Christmas traditions. We love seeing the kids so engaged, excited and involved at Hope House

👦Another Addition!👦
We recently welcomed a new kid into our family, and we would appreciate your prayers for him as he adjusts to life with us, his large and loud new family, espcially after he recently lost the elderly family member who was caring for him. He is a native of the mountains of northern Thailand.

🎄Sharing Christmas with Our Neighbors!🎄
We could not interact much with the neighborhood community in the last two years because of health lockdowns and restrictions. So it was all the more sweet that our youngsters had the opportunity to share the Christmas story at the homes of thirty of our neighbors during two recent community outreachs. I'm not sure who enjoyed it more, the neighbors (who are mostly quite elderly) or our kids! Observing them interact and share the story of Jesus was very special for us all.

🚌Mega Christmas Outreach to the Mountains!🚌
So many of our children are from Mae Hong Son, which is a five-hour drive into the mountains via very narrow and windy roads. We are supporting a local church there, and so right before Christmas we took several busloads of kids to put on a Christmas program in two locations close to the church. The kids did an amazing job, and the highlight was a stunning Christmas blacklight presentation about the birth of Jesus and the hope that his birth offered to the world was presented in the evening for the local community.
Taking so many up into the mountains, arranging for food and accomodation, and all the logistics is not easy, but the kids had a wonderful time, and the local community did also!
Help us make this a quarterly outreach to these areas!
