Great job Explorers!! What a wonderful program and we’re so honored to help support it.

Today, Sheriff Clark joined more than 170 student explorers from across Washington as they graduated from the Summer Explorer Academy. We’re incredibly proud of our Benton County Explorers and all they accomplished throughout the program. Their dedication, teamwork, and commitment to serving their communities truly stand out. Congratulations to all of our explorers on a job well done.

Welcome Deputy Marks!

On 06/30/2026, Joshua Marks was sworn in by Sheriff Michael Clark as Benton County's newest deputy. Joshua grew up in Prosser, played high school ball, and went on to play football for Dakota State University. He returned to the Tri-Cities and started his law enforcement career with the Benton County Corrections Department. He was a great asset to their department, and they had nothing but great things to say about him. We are happy that he chose to pursue a career with the Benton County Sheriff's Office and we are fortunate to have him. Please join us in congratulating Deputy Joshua Marks!!!

Deputies had the privilege of attending a community event hosted by the local Mustang Forces organization. Mustang Forces is a non-profit organization that utilizes rescued horses to provide healing and therapy for veterans, first responders, and healthcare workers.

Co-Founder/Executive Director Wendy Davies was able to bring out one of the horses for a photo op with a few of our deputies here. We appreciated the opportunity to visit!
