At nineteen, I was making choices that gave the people who loved me plenty of reasons to worryโ€”and very few reasons to believe in me.โฃ

Then one evening, sitting on the front stoop with my Mom, I said something I couldn't fully explain:โฃ

I had no proof. No perfect plan. No evidence that things would turn out differently.โฃ

But something in me knew there was more to my story than the evidence suggested.โฃ

But underneath the evidence, the mistakes, and the version of myself I was showing the world, there was another voice.โฃ
