I escaped the weeks long fog in the Sacramento Valley yesterday afternoon by taking a quick trip up to Camron Park, Placerville, Po***ck Pines and finally Sly Park Reservoir. Got a little exercise in the sunshine for me and my dogs. Picked up some trash and spotted some fish surfacing on my way out… a return trip will be planned soon to follow up and better monitor that last observation!

Trevor and I represented SSTU with at least one other TU member.

Maybe 10 more RCWA volunteers also participated in this years first official Dry Creek Conservancy salmon count in the Dry Creek watershed last Saturday with about 50 total volunteers!

I haven’t heard the total number of salmon counted but I’m betting it was larger than the number of volunteers again this year and I hear that there was almost as many on the waiting list !

We spotted 5 in our reach and Doug Brewer reported 10 live and 2 carcasses in the lower Miners Ravine reach just upstream of us! At least 22 were reported at the community park in Loomis.

I got one video and a few pics. Anyone else take pics?
