Boy Scout Troop 242 - West Des Moines We are a Boy Scout Troop in West Des Moines, Iowa. We are part of the Twin Rivers District of the Mid-Iowa Council.

Our Charter Organization is Valley United Methodist Church at 4201 Ashworth Road.

Congratulations to Rowan Coady for completing his Eagle Project. Rowan's beneficiary was West Des Moines VFW, Emerick-Williams VFW Post 8879 in Valley Junction. Rowan developed and installed 2 flag retirement boxes for the VFW at Fire Station 18 (5025 Grand) and Fire Station 21 (3421 Ashworth). Great job Rowan! Next stop your Eagle Board of Review!

Congratulations to Luke Nelson on completing his Eagle Project. Luke's beneficiary was West Des Moines Christian Church. Luke made 6 foldable benches/tables that are being used for outdoor church activities. Great job Luke! Next stop Eagle Board of Review.
